Invermere mayor Gerry Taft has been acclaimed for a third term.

He's doing a great job and it was to be expected.

It's no surprise. There are no other candidates strong enough to seriously challenge him.

Potential candidates who could have challenged him didn't want to lose their seat on council.

Disappointing as Invermere needs new leadership to maximize its potential.
