I feel that the People have become matured now. Also this appears to be a mandate of the younger generation. THE WRITING WAS VERY CLEAR ON THE WALL. They wanted the, so called, regional party heads to upgrade to the IDEOLOGY of LESS GOVERNMENT, GOOD GOVERNANCE and DEVELOPMENT. The BJP WAS ABLE TO READ THE WRITINGS ON THE WALL, AFTER SENSING THE NERVES OF THE PEOPLE. It did give due regards to the SHIV SENA, TO READ THE MINDS OF THE PEOPLE. But alas! Their lenses were too colored with the FEUDAL IDEAS to read that. Mr Uddhav Thakre should also take the queue from the mandate the people gave to the MNS. I still feel that the SHIV SENA AND MNS PARTIES are still PRECIOUS ASSETS OF THE MAHARASHTRA. And by sharing the power with BJP they should take MAHARASHTRA TO NEW HEIGHTS of DEVELOPMENT (OF MAKE IN INDIA AND MADE IN INDIA AND ALSO HAVING A MINI MAHARASHTRAS IN ALL DEVELOPED COUNTRIES. And I wish everyone all the best and HAPPY AND A PROSPEROUS DEEPAWALI.

I think you guyz (Hindustan Times) didn't do your homework or maybe not aware about election result or may be not ready to accept it... and because of that you are asking for such foolish question.

Your editor should not be worried about BJP, you should be worry about such foolish questions. Try to focus on reality don't live in dreams. Reality is BJP went alone and did super awesome .....

It would have been wise on part of BJP to seek advise of Editor in Chief of Hindustan Times. Headlines of your news items give an indication how hurt your are with the outcome of results plus pro Cong and anti Government bias.

When BJP won parliamentary election from Maharashtra in a big majorities why should they depend or seek support from other parties. The obvious question is if you have done well you are prepared to go for the next phase very confidentially It is nothing surprise. Besides Mr. Modi is trying to control each state silently under his purview. You can see this trend very soon .Narayanan

Its a Senseless question, and thats why. HT credibility is getting down day by day..

BJP was offfered. 119 seats...a they have managed 122 seats by their own

BJP was second fiddle in Maharashta and now the first fiddle.

they have negated each and every equation in Maharashtra and Haryana...with not so strong base and loacl leadership.

and still HT says... that they have lost....I think ..thats why HT is loosing to TOI as they are still living in congress era

When each one is trying to prove who is a big boss - better get the mandate from the people .Next if they are together it will be best for Maharashtra . Also see there is MC election soon - so unity is a must .

It is the modi waive impact and the efforts of amit shah respectively which help BJP to gain surprise lead over all the parties. Still the communal people didn't loose the hope from modi election manifesto. The furious defeat of congress (I) in Lok Sabha also resulted in the current position of the party due to langering and non efficient leadership in the congress after Late Rajiv Gandhi. Let's see what happens ahead because the way for any decision is open for communals and secularism is crushed down. Things to be worried secular indians. Hope that they will take serious this second lesson just now.

Answer of your question is in yes because, as for clear 2/3rd mandate is concern it was important to fight with collation between BJP & SIVSHENA, which was restrict to division of votes among five corner it likes to be see in this incumbent situations.but as for my view is concern it could not to be seen as strategically mistake where both the party have fighting with each other is all about the dominant position in MMaharashtr, yes BJP went on top and SHIVSENA just back of them, but whatever they both earned is all about the bal Thackeray's blesses on shivsena and definitely NARANDRA MODI's magic for BJP, so both may not blame each other on this ground, but it's also true they both are the natural alliance so both have great future, but as for dominance is concerned it's BJP victory not to shivsena this time. In other words we may say, it is the victory of modi's magic of BJP over bal Thackeray's blesses on SHIVSENA.

BJP was forced to make this decisions, because its ally was greedy. Even now, the ShivSena wants the BJP to approach them (obviously to exploit their position), knowing the fact that the State has been hit by the BJP wave. It's time for ShivSena to understand that its subjects are no more interested in their 'Maratha-manoos ideology' & that the development seeking-BJP can do better off without them. BJP played its cards well, all they need now is a partner, an ally, that can keep up with the State agenda and which is less selfish.
