The way I see it is like this. You want to be Gov. for Maine? You better be there for us. If you refuse to show up for a Debate about this Job Position, then maybe you need to look for a different job. If I did not show up for a Job interview, I would most likely not get the Job. This same rule applies here! Thank you.

I agree that the debates are just more sound bites with little if any substance. However once one has made a commitment to a debate they should do their utmost to follow through. If, when I was working if I had committed to give a lecture and then reneged I would have been reprimanded at the least. When did it become OK for politicians to make commitments, then just not follow through? Not just in Maine or in debates but in just about every thing they do. They sure couldn't get away with those antics in the private sector.

After watching the last debate, I would say its a waste. Michaud was given several opportunities to answer one very important question and avoided it every time. I'm really sick of the party bashing. If they can't run their campaign on their OWN merit then they don't deserve our vote. As for Cain deferring on the debate that doesn't reslly surprise me she thinks she's above all that.

I feel that the debates are a waste of time and money. The few people that watch/listen to them are only getting more lies pumped into them making the decision of who to vote for harder.
