Should Helen have bought a pair of the finest and most expensive gloves in the world?

Helen had the right idea. Expensive gloves need a good home and an owner who will appreciate them. If I were in Helen’s shoes, I’d buy the Alexandre Kid Gloves, too, no matter how much they cost.

Helen deserved to have the Alexandre gloves, but she should have saved up her money to buy them with cash rather than credit.

I don’t understand Helen’s slavery to fashion at all. I’d rather be debt-free and spend my money on something more important than French gloves.
