Mike Smith has the best record of any Falcons coach ever hands down. Check the record. It's really unbelievable how much better he is statistically than any other Falcons coach ever.
The Falcons are way under the salary cap. That's the reason they don't have an OL.
The problems are his bosses. Management loves to talk about doing more with less. The Falcons are a good example of what that philosophy produces: failure.
Fire Smith and you'll probably wish you didn't. Just remember Bobby Petrino.

Remove TD and promote Pioli. Replace scouts. Make a splash in FA for a proven DE and LB. We're not far off and we've seen the results with MS (through 2012), we've simply witnessed a talent drain on D and exceptional injuries to an O-line that isn't as bad as people make it out to be (when healthy.)

Keep Coach Smith and send The GM down the road.

GM should go not coach Smith. TD has fumbled far too many drafts.
Jack Pod - 9 years ago
Keep the coach and fire the players.
Alex Brooks - 9 years ago
As a former DC, it would seem as if his team would be indentified by its defense. Not in this case. You can score 100 points but if your opponent scores 101 points then the L is yours. Time to go Mike. Making adjustments isn't your strong point.

He has taken the Falcons as far as he could. Time for a new direction.
