The Browns are not contenders as much as I love them and hate to say it. They have had an easy schedule. The defense made them a contender having given up the 7th fewest points in the league and setting up a lot of points for the offense. However, injuries have struck them and they won't be able to overcome a bad offense(18th in points scored) and inadequate special teams. Brian Hoyer has been exposed for what he is,a decent backup but as a starter he is terrible. He couln't hit the broad sign of a barn. Sorry,Saint Ignatius and homer fans,he hasn't won the games he has played, the defense has. Quit making excuses about Josh Gordon not playing, losers make excuses. Also,Jordan Cameron was a one-year fluke,he was overrated. Alex Mack was a huge loss to the running backs but Hoyer has had ample protection and has shown he isn't going to cut it. The Browns will be hard pressed to go 8-8.
