I believe in corporal punishment for our children, not abuse, but he was reprimanded by the court system now Goddel is going to double dip and punish him some more . Is this to circumvent public opinion or is the Ray Rice cluster, leaking into this case, it time for a committe independent minds to start handling these behavior cases not one man who is acting on the behalf of the owners . Let bring clarity and unbiased decision making into the fore front!

If Mr. Peterson took a switch to his son's backside, which tens of thousands of us have experienced by parents and Christian educators in generations past, he was following a learned behavior past along from his elders. Granted if Mr. Peterson took the switch and repeatedly and excessviley spanked his son; then just his suspension from the NFL and some community service is not enough. However, if spanking was a couple of spanks on his son backside. Then I feel the NFL overreacted. Teaching or disciplining our children through physical discipline was a part of culture in generations past; and the switch has a long history in childhood discipline. You will find a number of authors and civil leaders tell stories that include the switch. I do not condone any physical discipline on children, I have learned through education and my wife who did not grow up with physical discipline... it just doesn't work. The NFL is attempting damage control for their gross lack of concern to player's well being.

Adrian Peterson has been on the "Commissioners List" which is technically suspension with pay. Now the Commissioner is giving him an additional suspension of a minimum of 6 games. This seems to be double punishment. What Peterson did was definitely wrong, but he has already paid his suspension. He needs to be fined the dollar amount of 6 games and reinstated immediately. He has already served the suspension.
