Build it and they will come. The 2.8 duramax is tried and tested in Australia and works as designed. The setup screams out to any off road enthusiast may it be mud, rock, or sand. To redesign a thing on this truck would be a crime against nature. As posted on a previous thread, the raptor has made its mark and set in stone for the future of ford performance trucks. With a price tag of a Cadillac escalade that means people just want it regardless the cost. The same could be said for the zr2 given gm does a good job advertising and grabs the attention of all grown boys wanting to drive their new offroad machine up mount everest. Build it and they will come

I like the ZR2 Colorado concept truck with the diesel. If they build it I'll by one. I currently own a 2005 Colorado Z71 that I purchased new. I like my truck and have had no major issues with it. I will say that I am not really impressed with the new 2015 Colorado. It looks like a cut down version of the Equinox (which my wife purchased new from Chevrolet and in our opinion is Chevys biggest P.O.S. ever). I believe that the new Colorados now have the same garbage V6 as the Equinox. The inline 5 is a much better engine. I would not even consider another GM vehicle with this engine combination. That is won of the reasons why the ZR2 appeals to me. That, combined with the racier looks keeps me from thinking that it is just a cut down version of the worst vehicle GM ever built. To sum it up build the ZR2, I'll buy one.

Only question that is going to fall on the table is... Is it going to have an affordable price tag... Need to have a upper 20k-right at 30k for simple trail ready price... Don't throw some crazy price on it expecting an unproven truck to go for as high as the rest of the crowd... As an active duty soldier in the Army I don't make enough to go out and simple buy this truck if it rolls out with a 40k price tag and be able to take it on the trail like I would want to... Yes we have a fix and steady pay check but we don't make as much as people think when it comes down to relocating and deploying with having to send our families jumping through hopes to see us and get everything done...

I'd love to see this get built and be able to own one if I could end up affording one. As my Silverado is really just the family car I can't do with it like I please. Just give American people a country boy's dream truck with a decent price tag and we'll go out and prove it for you.
