Mary Lou McGraw we are not punishing the children. They are already made an American citizen the minute they are born here EVEN IF THEY ARE ILLEGAL!!! Their parents are the ones who are being punished for CHEATING THE SYSTEM. It sounds to me from your extensive touring of the country that you had a chance for a vacation or retirement. I haven`t had that luxury for many years because I have had to struggle to keep a job that others will do for peanuts. Now I have 5 million more people trying to do the same thing IF they ALL go to work,(ya right). You will never weed out the evil but you can make them get their damn GREEN CARD like every other immigrant. What makes them so special? This is just another NEW WORLD ORDER move to puppetize the world for the benefit of the rich elite. I say my warning shot is a MISS!!!

Greg is absolutely right. All the immigrants that came here before were happy to do whatever it took to be an American. They won`t work for that but they are willing to get WELFARE quick enough! This president has FAILED in so many ways. Not only is it not fair to EVERYONE,but illegals are bringing Tuberculosis any many other diseases into this country unchecked. We cater to the Spanish by dialing 1 for English in an English speaking country! I know of no other country to do that and if they do they have given up their identity as a nation. We were screwed when we voted in an INDONESIAN for PRESIDENT and letting it happen! The count-down to ruination has begun. I welcome anyone with a GREEN CARD.

I think this is a slap to the face to the people who came here legally. These people who came here spent a lot of money to be legal. If I break the law I get busted these people break the law every day they stay here and now they get rewarded I think that is just wrong. There is no good illegal due to the fact they are breaking the law .

They should absolutely NOT be allowed to stay. Most of these "children" were accompanied by their parents or weren't children at all, but adults. They ALL should have to go through the legal system to come into the country. We have untold numbers of homeless vets & Americans in general who need help & should have precedence over these illegals. The vets have served our country & fought for our freedom which the politicians are giving away because they don't have the guts to stand up to the so called president we have now. We need to take care of our own first & foremost!

Ween out the bad ones and keep the ones that are working and paying taxes. Just because the law is on your side doesn't always make it right. Look them in the eye and tell me how right it feels. Let congress whine about it, they've had their chance. Go donate your $10 turkey good people

My grandfather came here from Germany in the 1950's, he is absolutely appalled by not only letting the ILLEGAL ALIENS into out country that HE served for in OUR military, but by not forcing them to learn our language. The language of the nation. It disgusts me that so many people think that it is their right to come into the United States of America illegally and not get prosecuted or deported for doing so. Police officers, elected officials, and the people of America are obligated to advocate for the laws that are already in place to be upheld. Whether the immigration laws are changing presently or not, being an ILLEGAL ALIEN is still that key word in that description of said people. ILLEGAL. and they need to be dealt with according to the laws in place. I, like many others do not think it is wrong for immigrants to come to our country and make their lives better as long as they do it according to the law. Legally. We are a Nation of laws, not a Nation of men. And we are becoming a Nation of men. We don't have the finances to take care of our own people, the legal citizens of America, at this point. Let alone the people who are here illegally that we are giving healthcare, welfare, drivers licenses, and virtually allowing them to break our laws without any action being taken by the hand of justice. On a further note from the same idea, I agree with Utah and the re-instating of the Firing Squad. If we still had a tall oak tree in front of our courthouses with a rope hung from it and we didn't wait 20 years to do the deed that they were sentenced, then we would probably have much less violent crime. (that is just a firgure of speech, not necessarily having a tree with a rope hanging, but you get the gist of the idea)

There's a reason why certain animals live in different areas of the world, and others in the opposite end. You don't see bears mingling with monkeys, nor do you see bald eagles flirting with parakeets. Colors are pretty when you first mix them, but after a while it gets bad.....We are becoming what the bible teaches, nobody looks because no one wants to be held accountable.

Many of my ancestors were farming and fishing on New England's coasts nearly 400 years ago. I regret that we allowed the progenitors of today's Neo-Republicans to shuffle down the gangplank and come ashore. We should have thrown them in the harbor and kept the tea.

I think the President''s decision is the correct one. It was costly and took a lot of time for me to get my visa then citizenship from Canada to the USA but I cannot begrudge families escaping from their horrible lives to make a go here in the USA. How can you punish children?. Most of these people are devoted to their church and family and want to make a better life. Wean out the criminals and people who are exploiting these people you will find good people. Something has to be done and the President has taken the first step and needs to be supported. We have traveled extensively across the middle and southern part of our country and these are your workers--minimum wage--picking fruit, cotton, landscaping, working long hours and we saw a lot standing in line and waiting to be hired for the day. Give them a chance.
