The problem I've found is that good colleges won't care what kind of diploma you recieve. They don't care if you graduated with a diploma called an honors diploma or a normal diploma. To them it makes no difference what the diploma is called, the college still makes students take the same placement tests no matter what kind of diploma the students have.

Only if all these differentiated diplomas are still good enough for college admissions. Allowing students the option of changing their minds on a career choice.
