SON OF A NUTCRACKER!!! I just paid for Visual Studio, and now I find out that Microsoft is giving away for FREE, Visual Studio Express.
Those bastards!!!
How dare they do something with which they spent their own money & time to create and just give it away, without my approval!!!
Damn them!!!
Oh wait, this about DevExpress. Nevermind.
Dude get a life. Don't use the products if this is what you're gonna b*tch about.

Saif - I like free stuff too but this seems kind of cheap. Use microsoft stuff in vs2008, if you want free.

Its a perfectly legitimate marketing exercise to give away some controls. Relax and be happy about it. The more customers they get, the more stuff we get in our subscriptions and the lower they can keep the price.
Seriously, who is ever going to just want the editors without getting the DX Grid and other controls.

If you work for DevExpress then I see your point. Your Salary depends on it. Good Luck!
DevExpress, like any other company are free to use any standard marketing. Why should customers be allowed to influence In this case the give away the XtraEditors and a few other (relatively) minor controls in order to entice customers to buy XtraGrid, XtraSheduler or potentially the whole of DXperience
