The "definition of insanity" is: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results! 50 years of doing that is enough. If we (as a country) are going to be leaders and lead by example, we must move on. Listening to the rhetoric from the press and garbage of politics is not the way to go. It would be nice to see Cuba eventually absorbed into the United States.

If Obama is behind it, than it is a good idea to vote NO!

We have been trying sanctions for over 50 years now with absolutely no positive results so it only makes sense to try a different approach. If you believe that the true definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results then you should want change. A lot of people will vote no just because President Obama is behind it and they could care less if it's a good thing or a bad thing.

There are currently 6 statutes in effect in relation to embargo's with Cuba. Each one deals with different reasons for not trading with Cuba and some just tighten what can be traded and who can do business. They range from "trading with the enemy act of 1917" to the "trade sanctions and export enhancement act of 2000" signed by then president Bill Clinton. I would hope that the U.S. would start dismantling these statutes based on acts of reforms in Cuba. e.g. Human Rights, which is covered in one of the 6 statutes. Each statute being repealed based on reformation performance eventually dismantling all 6 statues. So I voted yes in the hope the U.S. would use some sense in how they normalize relations with Cuba.

This may be good is some ways but I don't trust them. We may be on the way to more problems we don't need. I,m sure the government will find ways of spending billions to help the Cubans and forget about the people in this country that need help.
