In defense of Johnny he is still a kid! I remember how I was at 22 or 23 and the picture is not very pretty. I feel we are expecting way too much out of these kids. I am not blocking out the STUPID STUFF the did or said, I just think the maturity factor means an awful lot. They need someone they can trust and help mature them into the best person they can become. Look at TIM DUNCAN he was put under the wing of DAVID ROBINSON. He lived with the admiral and learned how to be more than just a NBA star, but how to conduct himself as a man. This is what is needed for these young men just coming out of college!

They should part ways with John Paul Manziel also.
Of cousre 7 quarters of football is not enough to judge a quarterback, but Johnny has all the earmarks of being a total bust. He has so far to go it's ridiculous.
An undrafted free-agent looks significantly better than your first round draft pick.
The coach likes smart players, and Manziel doesn't seem to fit that bill.
Johnny has said a lot of things since the season starts that seem like he is learning and willing to genuinely work at his profession. I'm not on the 'inside' so I have no idea whether he is actually putting his words in to action at practice.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope Johnny becomes a superstar.
Right now, Johnny doesn't pass the eye test, on or off the field.
