@Dogman15 No context for this poll was ever given and as such I expected it to mean /any/ pony game that was wholly dedicated to MLP:FiM whether licensed or not.
Even so, I picked "other", because like others have said I want to see a tabletop RPG or maybe even a better card game.

@Lyssinna
PC includes Mac. It stands for Personal Computer, in case those silly commercials got you confused. So that would be a Mac, a Linux, a Windows; anything that is a general-purpose computer for personal use.
Lyssinna - 9 years ago
PC simply because the most amount of people would be able to play it. :)
(Though a Mac port would be nice)

@CaptainD
What you say doesn't make any sense. If you're poor, then you only have a computer. Not the opposite. Nintendo systems and others are only costing more, because you still need a computer. Of course, having a computer for playing does not mean to have the latest most ridiculously fast computer of the moment. That would be just a huge waste of money completely useless for playing a pony game that could run on a N64, therefor all lowcost computers that are more recent than 5 years.
If you want to spare money, you got to get the game on a computer.
CaptainD - 9 years ago
There already is a ton of mlp games on computer, why don't we have them on a system so that way, like, you don't have to be rich to play them? plus any game on system could easily be on PC. a bit harder the other way around. I just find it cool to have a genuine hard copy of a game on a system rather than a download on a computer.
@fluttershy7669:
In this context, the game would be a PC game made by a professional game studio and licensed by Hasbro, and marketed and everything. And probably go on Steam.
We're not talking about any fan games on PC already being made. Fan games are made on PC because development for PC is so much easier and cheaper than on consoles.
Ideally I'd like a pony game to get on as many platforms as possible so more fans can play. I currently have a PC, Wii U and 3DS, so I'd personally vote for those, but I wouldn't want them to be exclusive to said platforms. Exclusive feature sets for given platforms would be nice, of course.
UnbrokenBrony - 9 years ago
I think it should be released for all platforms, with cross platform play.

What about web games? When you see tools like PlayCanvas (from mozilla fondation), games in browsers seem to be the future. You can play them in any platform that support a recent web browser.
Make once, play everywhere.
And yeah, I'm totally against this "exclusivity" concept with the only purpose to make more money. I've got already a powerful PC that allows me to do anything, and I don't want to buy an extra system just for one game. A game that could probably even run on an old slow PS2.
lordelliott - 9 years ago
PC, because mods (and I don't mean cheating mods). Mods can add a lot of really good content if they're properly encouraged and a good community builds up. The prime example is the Elder Scrolls series.
I only voted PC because that's the only platform listed that I actually own; the most recent game system I have is a Sega Saturn.
MWJC - 9 years ago
What would I like? I would like it to be on most if not all platforms. What I expect is that it would be on the Nintendo consoles and hopefully the Vita, but companies doesn't know that the Vita exists :'(.

Had to vote PC because master race is hilarious.
Midnight_Sentinel - 9 years ago
I say in the spirit of Friendship is Magic that any game that is released should be cross platform, with servers that are combined across all platforms. That way no one would be left out if they didn't have a certain platform but the rest of their friends did.

@Mechumene: People who like ponies are childish. The good kind of childish of course.
Anyway, to the point. Wii U/3DS looks like the best kinds to release pony games. The style, category and knowing what the target audience the Nintendo consoles just screams pony compared to the others on the list. That reminds me, Nintendo has released MLP before. However I would prefer a FiM game more in style with Sonic or Pokemon, or an RPG.
Mechumene - 9 years ago
Wow. 4.78 % if those who voted aren't childish.
Coppermane - 9 years ago
More people prefer to not play at all than play on the Vita. Heh, enlightening.

No multiplatform option? Well then...No vote.

Had to vote other, because I refuse to endorse that stupid PC Master Race nonsense.

I would say nintendo unless Rare was making it then xbox one, but pc could easily have great fan mods... idc really would be cool on either of them!

Magnavox Odyssey!

Why is PC on here when it already has two being developed that are fully fledged to being pony?
Does "my laptop" count as a platform? How about VR glasses that re-skin the real world to look like Ponyville, Canterlot or Manehatten as you walk around outdoors? StringShimmer has the best answer, many people would buy the system that went with the pony game, if it was really, really good. Disregarding that, the best system for me would be a holodeck.

I love gaming, but for some reason I hate it on the PC. I just get let gaming joy out of it than an actual console/handheld. I'm shocked to see it win.
StarlightBells - 9 years ago
PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 or 3DS. Don't have any of the other consoles. Will get a Wii U or PS4, but can only afford one of them and would have to save for a while. I so want a pony game, but if it comes to a console I don't have I wont buy the console for just ONE game so if that happens I'd be pissed. I'm not rich like a lot of you seem to be.

Tabletop RPG!
I want an officially licensed and produced setting book for Fate.
I picked Wii-U, even though I don't have one. I trust that a game approved to be sold on a Nintendo console will have a minimum level of quality. (Cue people replying with games that they hate.)
But why, exactly, must we choose? Most television tie-in titles are released on all of the major systems.
iosAs in, an actual game this time.

This should obviously be an Atari TOS exclusive

A 3DS game would be so cool .o.
Multiplataform. So everyone can play.
I feel like this should be a Mac exclusive game XD
All of 'em! Cross-platform is always ideal for the consumers.

How about, "It doesn't matter what platform because I would buy the system just to play the game."
It's obviously other because all of them is the right answer.
Isn't this a bit biased?
Is it really a question?
'Cause it's more of a "let's see how many people agree with the obvious" poll
all of the above
Linux!
