This "blizzard" was sponsored in part by Stop and Shop. Stop and Shop encourages everyone to let the piles of food they bought go to waste so they can sell you more stuff in excess this weekend.

I think all those people who were drawing straws to see which family member they would eat first once the food ran out are feeling pretty silly right now.

similar to 'storm of the century' in March 1993 / over-hyped then never materialized in Westport - but huge impact in Carolinas - just illustrates weather is dynamic and still an in-exact science!

Better to over-estimate than under with weather events like this. I just shoveled about eight inches for the small dog and it's light and easy to manage. Let's hope it stays that way.
