As one of the many businesses in Vermont that have multiple locations in different states, Vermont has been doing an amazing job under the current administration to give us reason after reason to place our job growth in other states than Vermont - especially higher paid positions.
The legislature and administration should actually ASK businesses what would help economic development in the state. Not a few friends and family, but a real cross section of the future economic growth potential of the State. I don't think you would find many people saying - oh yes - quadrupling taxes on highly paid employees would be wonderful for business (thankfully killed - for now) nor that raising taxes on all payroll is good for business either.
Stop raising taxes, get our costs in line, and watch the economic growth prosper.
