Okay, I realize it is only TV but Scandal has gotten so stupid that it insults me. The president of the US declares war and the Congress gets behind him and its all to rescue the woman he is screwing?! Please -- what a huge waste of an hour of my life. Lesson learned, no more Scandal.

It's interesting that all those who chose to write comments had extremely negative reactions to this episode. Yet the poll suggests that 59% of the viewers thought it was awesome or above average? Personally, i thought it was abysmal. Insults the intelligence on so many levels. 1) if these guys staked out her apartment to the degree suggested, then they probably would have seen POTUS make one of his frequent visits. So, no need to keep her hostage for weeks to "discover" this tidbit 2) Since Olivia's father has turned on her, you'd think that one of her 2 powerful boyfriends would have helped heighten security on her apartment, to prevent this level of undetected surveillance by an evil agent. 3) but what bothered me the most, was when Olivia Pope - the "warrior" - had troubles pulling the trigger on her captor. Seriously? A warrior? I don't think so!
An advertiser on Super Bowl recently explored why "like a girl" suggests weak and ineffective in our culture. This TV episode brings it home. What could look more pathetic than Olivia Pope, after weeks of captivity, struggling to find the nerve to pull the trigger on a brutal kidnapper. Absurd. Insults the intelligence. Makes women look pathetic. I just got an hour back in my week as i won't watch drivel like this again.

Scandal fan since day 1. Couldnt wait to watch this winter premier. Total waste of time! Hated it! R u sure Shonda R had anything to do w/this? If this is what we have to look forward to n the next episodes count me out. It was all i could do not to fast fwd thru this mess. I was looking forward to seeing all the players doing their normal thing-not this. Just to let u know how upsetting all this was is that this is the first time i have EVER left a comment good or bad on anything! Very disappointed! Please resolve this quickly & get Olivia back to doing what she does best "fixing" DC.

This was my favorite show and I wont be watching anymore. I just discovered this show and was catching up watching all episodes from season one to three. Now its just stupid.Iwill not be watching anymore. Absolutely not believable and way too serious a subject matter. Thus should have had a parental discretion warning. No one wants to see this subject matter and this serves no purpose.

I did not like this episode at all. Epic fail. I fast forwarded through most of the scenes. There was supposed to be "humor" in this episode but darned if I could find it. And Olivia is supposed to be held captive for many more episodes? Sigh, will have to record those too and fast forward. Shondra leave a good thing alone, all right?

This storyline is awful. A huge disappointment. Move away quickly or you will lose your viewership. I was sorry I stayed up to watch that garbage.

Are you kidding me this was my favorite show of all time until tonight. If it isn't broke don't fix it especially with something so different and lame. Writers you are definitely not reading your audience here I am so so disappointed. You totally lost my interest. Hire back your old writers or lose your audience.
