There are a lot of good vocalists but Carrie Underwood is definitely the better singer of that group. Remember the votes are the best singer not who you like the best. Carrie slayed Country Music just like Freddie slayed Rock. The best of the best.

Kelly is better. Her style is based more on emotion and soul than technique, and I've heard her sing a much wider range of styles, including swing and opera, beautifully.

If you look at international success, how about you add Adam Lambert who is killing it fronting Queen.....The guy who won that year, ol whats his name, hmmmmmm.......so yes....of the listed, Carrie.......and I love Kelly.....of the not listed.....Lambert.....the best overall entertainer they ever had or will have on their stage

Both Carrie and Kelly are amazing, but Kelly's range, power, and overall success is higher than Carrie. If you look at statistics, Kelly's international success is much larger than Carrie. I'm not taking anything away from Carrie because she is GREAT, so so great. However, if you had to pick on overall talent, Kelly wins.
