In the little I've experienced of Doctor Whooves media I preferred Twilight as a companion. It was good to hear (radio play) a companion who is interested in the science of space-time travel as no other companion, pony or human, comes to mind that has that orientation towards the adventures. She can also be counted on to think through puzzles herself, and her nervousness is balanced with the Doctor's ability to be jovial even in danger.

I started watching MLP:FIM before I started watching Doctor Who, and when I saw Rose, I immediately thought "she's Derpy! (Derpy's her!)"... much more so than with Roseluck, despite the obvious name comparison

I love Derpy, but my headcanon has her as sort of off in her own little world, so trying to fit her into a role like a Dr Who companion just doesn't work for me. Too limiting. So Roseluck gets my vote. But it's cool that she's still popular enough to be leading the poll.

It's called “don't vote”. These polls are for fun. If you don't care for one of the questions, just… don't answer it. It's as simple as that. You can't expect everything that Equestria Daily does should be relevant to your interests. It's a big fandom, with many facets.

None of them. Ever. But if he needs to be a thing, he can be stuck with Discord just to annoy him

Derpy of course. How is this even a question??

Sadly, there does not appear to be a stand-in for Ace. No Ace, no vote.

I've always liked the idea of Octavia as a kind of Donna Noble stand-in for Doctor Whooves :D

Rose Tyler: Roseluck
Martha Jones: Derpy Hooves
Donna Noble: Lyra Heartstrings
Amy Pond: Twilight Sparkle
Clara Oswald: Sunset Shimmer
@HalflingPony
I just checked, and it seems I faved the first strip of that series awhile ago, with intent to read it later. I guess I'll put it higher on my priority list. Thanks.

Who else can Doctor Whooves go with? ^^
Well.... I haven't since much of Doctor/Lyra but Roseluck and Twiight I have seen.
Well, the most obvious example I can think of for Lyra as a companion is Edowaado's *massive* twelve chapter comic (honestly "graphic novel" might be a more apt description if it were formatted differently) over on DeviantArt. Worth checking out.

Call me biased since Derpy is my favorite pony, but I'm going with her.
I've watched Doctor Who and I'll say I personally really, really don't like Rose, so since Roseluck seems to be associated with her I tend to shy away from that. Not a huge fan of Twilight.
I absolutely love Lyra (she's my other favorite), but I've not really seen much of her being a companion for it to stick. Also that would just ruin my Necromancer Lyra headcanon, hahaha...

Plus, I wonder who are the "Others" =D

Doctor x Derpy forever! (In a platonic way. Honestly, why does everyone assume they have to be a couple?)
I'm curious where Lyra comes from, here. I haven't really seen her associated with the Doctor.
I remember one great radio play where Trixie was his companion, though. I should check to see if that's still going…
