The National Maritime Museum is based in Irvine, which introduces people to our shipbuilding heritage. I think it would be a bit unfair to develop a similar project in Glasgow, unless done in partnership with this organisation. I think that this is a beautiful building and well worth saving. This is why I would opt for a mix of dry dock repairs with a small museum. It could potentially become an outreach base for the Maritime Museum if you worked in partnership. Maybe worth contacting them?

There could also be workshops where some of the old trades could be demonstrated and with perhaps some visitor participation,
