I AM A UNION MEMBER. We live here and pay taxes here. We work hard to support our families. We are not the problem and we are not the enemy. If you are jealous of our rights, fight for your own, not against ours. We only make up 11% of the work force, but we are demonized 100% of the time. We created the middle class, fought for 40 hour work week, paid holidays, vaction, and we are still fighting for everybody else. If you used to have all these benifits and now you dont, join a union.

If you don't want to support a Union fine. Let's just amend the law so that Non-Union workers do not receive Union benefits and the Union doesn't have to provide you with FREE representation within the workplace. See how long you can live without the 40 hour week, vacation time, safe working conditions. People fought and died for those benefits. God bless them.

Nobody is forcing you to take a union job. Perhaps you like working for lower wages, less or no health benefits and no pension security. That's your choice.
Unions are voted in Democratically, the majority rules. Senator Toomey won his election and I sure as hell didn't vote for him. Nevertheless, he is one of our U.S. Senators. Really sucks having a voice at work!!
Just look at all the right to work states down south and you will see that no workers make any money and they are treated badly , straight time all the time and less than 40 hours , so they don't have to pay benefits. You will never retire on non union pay !
If you don't want to join a union don't apply for or accept a union job.
Forced union membership is nothing more than legalized extortion!!
