Constantine needs to be renewed, this is no longer a single persons thoughts or opinions but the words of the many spoken by the few. Constantine is no longer a small group tagging in vain, but a large group tagging and being hear, making noise, and politely but insistently reiterating that the finer point of television have all been met within this one television show. Constantine is the latest addition to the ever growing world of superheroes. It is a show worth keeping, it is a show that has what is required to go the distance. With a crew and cast of the sort it has, this brief hiatus would be no more than pause in the upward climb to greatness.

If Constantine were to air tomorrow it would have double the viewers and fans it had when it first aired. Constantine has the benchmarks for something that would only ever improve, back by the creative minds that have put their sweat and blood into the backdrop for each scene, and the props that add life and detail. The devil is in the details, and Constantine has a lot of this, I for one love the minute details that went into this show and has made is surpass the mediocre and slide right into innovative, fresh, and thrilling.

Constantine is that one in a million that has what it takes to mage it big. It also has the full backing of its fans, the Hellblazers -- a noisome bunch dedicated to seeing it back on the small screen weekly.

  • I need? - 9 years ago

Today is Friday! And we need so much of new episodes of #Constantine.

→ Keep ← Is the option.

    #Hellblazers keep fighting, we can! Let's #SaveConstantine.

Because something like that show, is different of all the other shows of the same way, John Constantine is different. The history is unreal. I really wish that can have more than a Second Season. I don't care about what the people say, that's my opinion. I'm not waiting for someone agree with me, if you agree, "Thanks." if you don't "Thanks." Is what I have to say, everybody have reasons, that's the question... I'm perfectly okay, with it.
We Hellblazer just can see in John Constantine, Chas, Zed or Manny, have a lot of good characters, something that looks 'real', is incredible... The cast do a perfect job, the writers make the magic happens... And so on.
But I'm here just to vote, "Keep" because is one of my desires. I have hope, a lot. Is one of the things that moves me.
    #SaveConstantine. #Hellblazer #CS2 #HellBlazer #Constantine #FridayNight .

Of course Constantine should be renewed! It covers all tv needs - supernatural, humour, intrigue, shock twists and fit actors . It's very rare that I bother watching anything new, but this grabbed me.

Constantine needs to be renewed. Constantine may fall into the “bubble” show section for the TV network, but given the proper chance it will become the behemoth of Fridays, or any other time it is given a fighting chance in. The reasons I have come to this conclusion are a numerous and varied as the stars in a midnight sky. I am a fan, and therefore biased; to this I confess. But because I am a fan I can eulogize on the aspects that this show one worth a second look. Who, in this day and age, takes the time to fill out a “commentary” these days, hmm? We do, the fans, the Hellblazers. Constantine is a show that has it all, the crazy talented cast, the brilliant writers, and director (s). These people are the unsung heroes of every worthwhile drama – and they have done their job well but every now and again everyone can use a little push up that hill to better grasp at the stars. This is where we come in, the fans. And we’re ready to build that tower of Babel to the heavens.

Constantine needs to be renewed. It has a strong bedrock from which to grow, an unlimited source of information form which can be drawn – i.e. comics. That’s right, John Constantine was haunting the pages of a comic since long before my time, saving the world and smoking a pack a day as he did it, too. He is the epitome of the anti-hero turned “cool.” He is relegated to the fringes of the Superhero gala, but the kind of characters the fan flock to when seeking out some grit, and guts, and a swagger that would make James Bond look positively drab. Constantine is the kind of show that can shock, surpice, and stun it’s audience. It’s the kind of show that will never be mimicked so well as it has been enacted in the present. Now it the time for the heroes, and the grand epic battles, now is the time for larger than life personas like Constantine. He’s no hero; he’s just a guy fighting battles bigger than him. Constantine as a show appeals to the audience looking for something more “real” than Superman abs of steel, or the dogmatic Batman. Constantine appeals to the young, true, but not only them – he represent the every man, the middle class, the underdog that comes up swinging after getting his teeth kicked in. John Constantine represents the indomitable will of humanity, spitting in the face of evil and lighting a cigarette.

Constantine has strong foundations with a sturdy and noisome fan base ranging from this generation and otherwise. Constantine was a comic long before it made it way to the screen -- there are few fans more steadfast that that. Constantine would, in short, bring in the money. Fans are the ones who stream, buy merchandise, attend conventions, and offer free promotion through word of mouth, social media, etc. Constantine is every networks dream. It has the three essentials.

    1. Fans.
    2. Talent.
    3. (And most importantly) Money.

Constantine, and the Campaign to renew it is becoming more and more known with each month that passes. This show has been perceived to have many "likes" and members on Facebook, and twitter is all but inundated with Constantine related trivia, discussion, news, and (lets me honest) pining. It has a crew that have been good sports about the Hellblazer’s scrabbling for notice, and news, and cluttering their inbox, ( I do not exclude myself form this, that would be folly). This is a further note of good things to come. Happy fans are not necessary, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Constantine needs to be renewed. Give us a season two and it will be the cheer that was heard around the world.

The writers, cast, production crew, special effects, sets and locations are excellent. Matt Ryan is outstanding as John Constantine. The character development has been good, with each gaining more depth as the series has progressed.

Some criticism has been raised that the show does not accurately follow the Hellblazer comic books. It actually does a fairly good job of translating the comics to the completely different medium of TV. The writers are also trying to appeal to a broader audience than just the readers of the series. If the show is to continue it has to have a more diverse audience, therefore some leeway should be granted to the writers.

What is refreshing about this show is that it is not another program about a dysfunctional family where the characters bring out the worst in each other. Nor is it a "comedy" where most of the jokes are sarcastic insults.

Also, there is a strong online renewal campaign #Constantine, #SaveConstantine by fans of the show who are not simply "internet malcontents".

Are you kidding me on keep Constantine

  • Hatori Sohma - 9 years ago

No, let it die. The critics didn't like it, it didn't do well in the ratings, and it's an insult to all real fans of the comic Hellblazer. With the exception of a few internet malcontents on Twitter, everyone else has moved on with their lives.

"Constantine" is a series that definitely worth to be watched. You guys who don't know what it is, just search for it online, stream it and LOVE IT as we Hellblazers already do.
Nothing is going to stop us Hellblazers: we love this series and we are going to SAVE it, no matter what.

Also, I quote Nymrod about that useless section in the poll ._.

  • ev - 9 years ago

If every a show deserves a second chance, it's Constantine. Yeah, the first season was rocky, but there is so much incredible source material to pull from, so many storylines and characters to explore, that it would be an injustice if the series were cut short before it got a chance to find its footing.

  • oekaki_chan - 9 years ago

For those who haven't watched it, give it a try, I'm sure you're gonna love it. Also, take a look at this ;)
    http://www.examiner.com/article/a-massive-social-media-movement-is-underway-to-save-nbc-s-constantine

This show's got a great fandom and we will neve give up!

  • Nymrod - 9 years ago

I don't think the "I don't watch / I have no opinion" choice should be there. I mean, if you don't know or watch the show then you don't vote. Plain and simple.

  • AnnMarie - 9 years ago

'I don't watch it section' most be those who don't have access to a television or have any knowledge of what an amazing show should be.

Beyond typical drama shows and predictable comedy sitcoms there is not excuse why Constantine should not to be kept for a Second Season and beyond.

Notice the strong and unbending #Constantine renewal campaign online by fellow Hellblazers and fans of good entertainment - should make this poll pointless and declare Constantine the clear winner.
