Daniel- perhaps you might want to ask drought-stricken CA what their tke is...Yesterday, they evaluated the snow levels in many locations. The majority of them were bare and since snow eventually melts to a liquid state, there is no snow to acccomplish this. I also read that polar bears face starvation due to the ice melt. I could go on and on, but one thing I I question about the majority in this poll who insists that no such thing exists, what are you reading? How do you arrive at that opinion? And most importantly, what - if any empirical evidence do you have that would refute global warming? Scientists study this and I sure as hell will bow to their expertise as I am not one. And when the majority of climatologists are saying the same thing, surely one should listen a bit to what they are saying.

For 20 years I have been trying to get my representatives to pay attention to climate change. I have written letter after letter. It is the MOST important issue of the day. My family has been in this country over 300 years, but it is clear my descendents won't be here for the next 300, and I am so sad.

you don't have to be a scientist to see the climate is changing.

Of course I believe in climate change, our climate has gone through warming and cooling periods for millions of years. What concerns me is the accelerated rate at which it is occurring due to human intervention, and that apparently most people (at least the ones in this poll, or so it would seem) don't understand why that would be cause for concern. That sharks are migrating north and so are lobster because of the temperature changes in the ocean waters..... the wide-spread effects of these changes occurring at such a rapid rate throughout the many different ecosystems that interact here on the earth are staggering. How can people just ignore that?

I do believe it is climate change, and not by anything we're doing. Changes on the sun, and magnetic changes here on earth. I agree it's in Gods hands not ours.

I guess I'm confused. How come global warming was replaced by climate change. Oh I remember. There has not been any global warming for what 17 years. The church of exulted Al Gore had to change their message after non of their predictions of disaster from global warming didn't come true.
