Retail marijuana is already here (native roots right across from Issac walton park), so the question is pointless. Maybe another poll titled "should Native Roots maintain their monopoly in Longmont for retail marijuana or should we have some more competition from more businesses inside the city boundaries and reep the tax money too.

I voted no for having marijuana in the City of Longmont. But I would be for medical marijuana (for people who needed it) if the medical marijuana was only available in legitimate pharmacies such as Walgreens, Safeway, King Soopers, etc. instead of these sleaze bag storefronts that we have now.

And TC does the dishonest thing by splitting the "yes" vote in two.
Sam, you're a prohibitionist too then I guess? Children learn all that drinking from their parents as well. Your non-facts are tiresome, especially considering you've been "fighting this stuff all [your] life." You'd think you'd have some solid background by now.

OH GOD, THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!! There is no reason not to legalize pot, SAM, unless you're law enforcement or profiting from the prison industrial complex. Do you stand to profit from maintaining an illegal status on marijuana? Legalizing, taxing, and controlling sales of marijuana is the smartest thing to do, and you should be proud of your state for being full of forward-thinkers. Read up on the facts of marijuana, and come out of the Reagan era, ya square.

Welp, the people have spoken, Guess the next Mayor and city counsel should listen. Especially come election time.

I've been fighting this stuff all my life. I am truly saddened that Colorado has seen fit to pass amendment 64. Yes, marijuana is a gateway drug, through the social enhancement and connection of the people using it. Children learn from their parents and if parents use marijuana children will, more than likely try to emulate their parents.
Ligament, truly ligament medical reasons is fine but please not the 3 minute exam and the $50 fee to a dishonest doctor.
