What dose this meal.have to do with bieng poor ppl? It aint about the fact that its fish, bread an corn. Its about the fact that the mess looks old. The fish was obviously freezer burnt an probably over cooked. As well as the bread. An the corn just looks like its just plain old. This is rediculouse. They ought to b able to come up with something a little fresher then that. An ought to know how to cook/prepare the food thier serveing. This is a shame. I am truly disturbed with how all theses so called grown ups are so stuck on this whole "poor" deal. Wtf dose this have to do with being poor. Ppl in africa are eating food fresher then this. An im sure its.cooked a hell of alot better. Smdh... this whole mess is just sad.

I'm still trying to figure out how old corn has to be before looking like animal feed. The fish looks bad but I'm sure the strip of rubber was just overcooked from frozen. I know tacos and pizza can never be healthy.....oh yeah that is right they can be extremely healthy if you know how to actually cook. Personal size cracker crust pizza with pure tomato sauce, low fat mozzarella cheese, spinach and mushroom or my favorite broccoli cauliflower. Either one costs about 30¢ for a school to serve. Cracker crust is also gluten free. And just because something might be eaten because you're poor doesn't mean it has to. Been poor my whole life and have had to get creative with what I could afford and imho that tray of food looks unsatisfying and gross

there is nothing wrong with eating fish fillet, whoever took this picture made it seem better than what it was I think the wealthy mom and dads need to sit down they do not know what it's like to be poor and eat food like this if you don't like the food maybe you should stick your spoiled kids in another school eat good food and make the kids get cancer real early in diabetes ,or make your child bring a bag lunch from home I don't see nothing wrong with that.Jesus ate fish and bread and vegetables. amen

That's a big piece of fish! Let me guess, you'd rather them eat pizza, and cheeseburgers to increase disease risk instead of a healthy FULL OF PROTEIN meal. I've seen plenty worse at our local schools who do have the fast food side venders promoting obesity to our children. Delicious looking meal?.. no.. healthy?.. Yes... as disgusting as people are saying? Get real folks!

I would not eat that mess. Nor would I expect anyone else to. I worked for child nutrition for 5 years. Someone would have been fired if that had been served to a child. This was in the late 90 to 2000...

There are plenty of Mothers , Fathers, and people that can cook and present better, take a walk and check out the homeless or low income mom/dad/caretaker that would care more about the kids.
