Do you think drilling for oil below the ocean bed is worth the risk of spills?

I guess people think electricity comes from thin air. It takes coal, massive amounts of coal just to provide the energy to run our homes, let alone the industry that we depend on for our very lives. Add cars to that list? Air and solar cannot and will not even start to supply the needs for homes, let alone business and industry. I wounder if these eco-terrorists have any idea where aluminum comes from and the amount of electricity is needed to refine it. Some people need to learn a little bit about the real world before they dream about nirvana.

The Gulf of Mexico is polluted from oil spills, the Yellowstone River is polluted with oil spills, The Red Deer River in Alberta is polluted with oil spills, Wyoming has had 9 oil spills causing pollution.
It is way past time to quit polluting the very ground we live on.
No new oil drilling, fracking or anything else. Be content with what you have while increasing used of alternative fuels.
there is no reason that an electric vehicle should costs so much more than an oil fired one other than big oil needs to maintain its hold on your pockets!
