I agree that slow left lane drivers should be ticketed, we go to Portland to visit kids and every time I encounter slow drivers mostly with Washington plates they just hog the left lane, I've learned that hardly any cars travel the right lane so that's the one I use to pass all those slow
Pokes in the left lane. Kind of funny we all need to start waving the looser hand sign. Lol

If they are impeding traffic then yes. HOWEVER, if the word "impeding" implies that they are holding people up that are exceeding or wanting to exceed the speed limit then no. I am going to capitalize the next statement in hopes it will get through to some people, though I highly doubt it in today's "me, me, me" society.
THERE IS NO REASON TO PASS SOMEONE UNLESS THEY ARE GOING UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT. THE LEFT LANE IS NOT IMMUNE TO OUR SPEED LIMIT LAWS. THIS MEANS THAT THE SPEED LIMIT IN THE RIGHT LANE (55 MPH IN MOST AREAS) WILL BE THE SAME IN THE LEFT LANE. THE LEFT LANE DOES NOT EXONERATE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE FROM THE LIMIT OF THE LAW. IF EVERYONE OBEYED THE SPEED LIMIT, THERE WOULD BE NO REAL REASON TO PASS, granting that local traffic conditions are fluent.
There is no "logical" reason to exceed the posted speed limit. "I'm late", "You drive slow", "Your car is a P.O.S." are not valid excuses to use the left lane as a personal autobahn.
Again, if they are traveling under the speed limit and impeding traffic, by all means ticket them. Or even if there is a sign stating, "left lane for passing only", then ticket them for not passing. However, I am inclined to promote a bill to increase law enforcement throughout the state and have the extra enforcement solely dedicated to monitoring left lane traffic speeds. That should make people happy. lol Running late, blaming it on the "left lane road hogs" as koin put it, and then being more late due to increased law enforcement and getting a ticket. hhmm, win/win situation as I would get a giggle out of that.

Of course they should!!!! It is an Oregon LAW and it is posted every mile "Keep Left Except to Pass"!!! That and these stupid pickups with tires wider than their wheel wells!!!! Too wide of tires kick up rocks - dangerous! Left lane drivers cause road rage - dangerous!!
