Im also an California transplant from OR, Santa Cruz has to be the WORST by far! I lived in L.A. in my younger years and i thought driving there was bad, but in SCruz they dont even drive the speed limit, leave their high beams on CONSTANTLY, and along with the rest of CA's poor driving - turn signals, insta-stops, and such it makes it unbearable. That coupled with CalTrans lack of planning on US Hwy 1 from santa cruz through aptos (2 lanes only, but the traffic flow should have told them to make it 4 on each side.) It takes 2 hours to drive 10 miles between 6:30a-10a and 3:30p-7:30p daily. Ugh. Someone hand me the noose please.

Washington drivers do NOT understand what a fast lane is. They drive the minimal speed or less in the left lane and do not get over when a faster vehicle approaches.

I'm a California transplant from Oregon and after 13 years, I still hate driving here.

Seriously! Californian drivers never use blinkers, always tailgate, never make up their mind how fast they want to drive, and alway cut you off when driving! Washington drivers never get in the right lane when they're driving slow! Then when you pass them,mother suddenly want to go faster.
