What was that term the Talking Head said? A WHOPPING $1 million Dollar fine?!!! That's the equivalent of you and I paying a $40.00 fine or Peaches GEN Petreaus being fined $100k No jail time when he clears $50k a speech!!!

I like the 1st round draft pick loss!!! THAT got someone's attention. I would have done more than that---I would have had the PATS lose ALL their 2016 draft picks and donate them ALL to the worst team in the league!!!

Me? I would have banned Brady for FOUR YEARS and stripped them of their last championship.

People ask me if I believe in GOD and I say, ABSOLUTELY!!! How so? Who does Brady play when he's off the bench? THE COLTS!!! Hey Tommy---Better stock up on the old BEN Gay ointment, something tells me you gonna need it after that game!!!

Yes, where is the box for NOT HARSH ENOUGH. I feel Brady's punishment was fair but if he is ever caught again he should be banned from football. As for the Patriots Organization a million dollars is like fifty dollars to them, fine them five or ten million then you will get their attention. Yes, I agree they cheated before and they cheated this time and they will cheat again, it's the rest of the team I feel sorry for, they work their butts off, they play fair but when talked about they are called cheaters because of the team. The NFL should set presidence on attempt to sway the game and impose heavy fines to players and teams that are found quilty like for instance heavy fines first time players, second time total suspension from the NFL never to play again, and the team organization first offense lose draft picks and ten to fifteen million in fines, second offense losing team franchise.

Personally, I can't see where he would have the time to deflate all the balls during the start of the Super Bowl? One would think the balls would be in a secure area under guards until kickoff. How many balls are held...20, 30, 40...? Seriously people, it's humanly impossible that he could have deflated any balls without anyone spotting him anywhere in the area. My theory, he's an all american football star! A handsome player with a beautiful wife and adorable kids who is vanilla! And in vanilla, I mean there's no drama, infidelity, drug/money problems, a wife beater, baby mamas, teammate/dog killer, or anything else. People just feel the need to tarnish the reputation and career of someone who worked so hard to achieve a childhood dream!! I hope he is vindicated in the end!!

  • Jjmclure - 9 years ago

He should be banned for the whole season. He's a bum. No more pretty boys in football.

  • Horace jaramillo - 9 years ago

Thie punishment is not enough this has happened for years and it took this long to finally catch them. The have to be willing to check there head sets to when they are at home. There tapping into the other teams play book by listening to the other team . Always a cheat they will stay a cheat just that they will be more careful.

  • Kenny Dillman - 9 years ago

I think Brady should of been fired or not been able to play football for three yrs or taking his superbowl ring away and not playing in the playoffs

  • Now that they set a precedent... - 9 years ago

Typical; the New York media whipped this whole thing into an anti-Boston frenzy.

Even if it's true, a bunch of other teams did comparable things over the years and recently and most just got off with a warning and a 'hey, stop doing that.'

Now they've set a precedent so the real comedy begins the next time some other team does something similar, especially if it's a New York City team. It probably won't be long, either.

Will the whiny babies crying out for Brady's blood here then reveal themselves to be hilariously hypocritical? Of course they will.

  • Shane McFarland - 9 years ago

Yeah, gotta wonder why there isn't a "not harsh enough" option?

  • BradyHater - 9 years ago

Where was the "NOT HARSH ENOUGH" option? He knew and or contributed, the team knew and/or DID it. Let's strip that championship they way they would in college football and bench Brady for the entire reason.

  • Claudette Thompson - 9 years ago

he should be kicked off he's a cheater and how many year's he have been doing this I bet his who career all them super bolster should not count is it to harsh heck no not harsh enough sorry fans

  • Col Hawk - 9 years ago

If I were Brady, I would appeal this decision. There is no concrete evidence to support any of this, no camera's not substance and no evidence. I think The Commissioner has so much weight on his shoulders he and others thought this crap up. The Pats did better in the 2nd half with all the balls inflated right. GO figure how the NFL works. Just like boxing, the highers up are fixers of the game and I believe if appealed Brady will have less games suspended. If it were a court of law, he would win the case. I am so tired of Goodell and his cronies, it sux, and so do those that make the decisions. Kiss my grits.

  • John Puterio - 9 years ago

This is nonsense. Mr Vincent why doesn't the league accept the responsibility to manage the game completely? What sense does it make to make a rule and then have the individual teams police it, ie: tell the QB's what the pressure in the football is and then let him direct the teams employees to prepare them to his /hers liking.
When are we going to follow the law of the land and understand that you are innocent until proven guilty beyond any reasonable doubt? Stop trying to make examples out of the best players for the sake of removing stigma from the criminals that are prevalent in your league.

  • ken - 9 years ago

The key passes he tom completed would probably not been caught so I believe the team should be stripped of the champion ship
Tom Brady has been an over rated quarter back since the snow field goal
The kicking of Adam was the reason tthe team won 3 SB and the player that intercepted the pass for NE was the play that for some reason made tom the MVP

  • Lance Armstrong - 9 years ago

Wow, if NFL hierarchy ran the Tour de France, I still have my seven titles despite cheating and would miss the first four stages of the Tour this year.

  • Tom Matski - 9 years ago

The punishment was far too great for the infraction. I doubt if the outcome of the game would have been different. NFL had to save face. No doubt in my mind that the Pats were singled out. They are a great competitive team and will go for another Super Bowl regardless.

  • Jim H - 9 years ago

Not harsh enough. Karras and Horning lost a full year for betting. The fix was in here.

  • phucbrady - 9 years ago

What a ridiculous, amateur polling technique. Not harsh enough you idiots!

  • Terrance - 9 years ago

Not harsh enough! And my vote is the teams do not touch the balls before the game.

  • JAKBrowns - 9 years ago

The only people happy about the judgement are the first four teams and their fans that the Patriots play. Way to harsh. I am a 100% Browns fan but now I must cheer the Patriots on for another Super Bowl. The referees touched the ball and did not care throughout the whole game. Go Pats!!! (Except when they play the Browns)

  • C Bryant - 9 years ago

What a STUPID poll. Not harsh enough.

  • Salty - 9 years ago

not harsh enough. Once a cheater...always a cheater. More likely than not, they've been doing it for years.

  • lsommer - 9 years ago

    Not harsh enough!!!

  • Not Harsh Enough - 9 years ago

Cheating the available choices to get the results you want? Must be a Brady fan. Where is the "not harsh enough" vote?

  • Mike - 9 years ago

Absolutely no proof Brady told anyone to deflate the balls. Much too harsh punishmnent. I hope the Patriots win the Super Bowl again. You show 'em, Tom! Best quarterback there is! Doesn't matter what the weight of the ball. You know it!

  • CFL FAN - 9 years ago

Not harsh enough. Why is that not an option? ? Who makes these choices anyway. "Don't know"?? then don't vote!

  • Greg miller - 9 years ago

I am no Brady fan but to put this punishment on an unproven allegation is just plain wrong. What a screwy organization the NFL must be!

  • Goesto11 - 9 years ago

    No conclusive evidence. Not guilty.

  • bowling one - 9 years ago

I do not think it was harsh enough. They should forfeit the
Super Bowl championship. They took away the little league championship for being accused of doing something illegal. The same thing should happen in this situation.

  • Steve - 9 years ago

Why not have the league supply the game balls directly to the refs at game time. So stupid to allow teams the opportunity to doctor them.

  • Al - 9 years ago

Not harsh enough gets my vote.

  • John Locke - 9 years ago

Poor poll choices. It's as if a pollster polled a 3-way race and asked if you were voting for candidate #1, candidate #2 or maybe you're not sure. What about candidate #3?

NOT HARSH ENOUGH. Brady should have missed 1/2 the season. Belichick needed a 2-4 game suspension. The locker room officials need to be banned from employment at any football organization.

  • Mike - 9 years ago

This is B S prove it or forget it beyound a resonabel dought wheres' the proof first fire every offcial that had anything to do with the game they new before hand so they say, something was going on but yet let it happen and godell you no where you and your buds can go .

  • WTF - 9 years ago

How biased is this vote?! how about not harsh enough! Should have been a year long ban and vacating of the title. But no, of course not because Goodell is on his knees infront of the patriots management.

  • Rodger Prince - 9 years ago

What about the referees? They handled the ball between plays longer that Brady. Why are they not fired for not catching the soft balls? Aren't they suppose to control all aspects of a game? Brady takes a snap from Center who fondles the football before snapping it to a quarterback. A quarterback has position of the ball for about three to four steps before handing the ball off to a runner whose holds the ball longer and tighter than the quarterback. What about a receiver who has to catch an inflight ball by a firm grab? Should these players be slapped because they did not report a soft football?

  • route 66 - 9 years ago

What kind of a "homer" poll is this? Where is the "Not harsh enough" option?

  • Judi - 9 years ago

The refs need to be canned as they failed to monitor the balls. Brady did nothing compared to Hillary selling gov influence for "donations" to the family slush fund!

  • chris - 9 years ago

Nice - why don't you set up the 2016 presidency ballots for Hillary too...

Do you want Hillary to be president?
    Yes >>
    Definitely >>
    Sure >>

  • Norma Bailey - 9 years ago

if you have to cheat to win, the title should be stipped from the entire team. They do not deserve it

  • Alan Tusa - 9 years ago

Why does the poll not have "too lenient" - joke of a penalty. Will definitèly encourage other teams to cheat.

  • Leon - 9 years ago

no where near harsh enuf. Should be a year. Scratched super bowl fines ect... The saints got more. And isn't this the 5 time they've been caught cheating? Or "bending the rules" Tom Brady is a lying coward who wines like a little girl. Every super bowl they have is tainted. How can you be a patriots fan. I'd have to switch teams.

1more vote for not harsh enuf

  • backscatter - 9 years ago

What a stupid poll. "Harsh", "Fair", "Not Sure" are the only answers.

How about "Pitifully Weak", "NonExistent", and "A compromise so watered down that you wonder who actually had deflated balls."

I'll go with door number 3 for the NFL.

  • infcont - 9 years ago

Why is it such a "sin" that Brady didn't turn over his personal phone causing all this ruckus, yet Hillary Clinton didn't turn hers over and was using it for Federal information???? Guess sports is more critical than our nation's safety?

  • PhuckTom Brady - 9 years ago

Talk about bias on this poll, where is the option for "not harsh enough"?

Not only should he be suspended for the season, but the team should be stripped of the Super Bowl win and a deeper investigation of the whole 2014 season for the entire team.

This is just as bad as the Black Sox.

  • chris - 9 years ago

One vote for 'not harsh enough'

  • Ed davis - 9 years ago

Knock out your girlfriend, drag her out of an elevator by her hair and you get a 2 game suspension. Know about footballs being under inflated, you get a 4 game suspension. Guess NFL thinks more of footballs than women!

  • K santos - 9 years ago

    I agree. Not harsh enough

  • Alive N Kickin' - 9 years ago

I have a feeling someone in Washington doesn't like a "no show."

  • CitznFish - 9 years ago

Where is the option for NOT HARSH ENOUGH?

Not only are they cheaters, Brady is a bold faced liar!
