What We Do In The Shadows is probably the funniest film so far this year, but I'm kinda glad Winter Sleep is winning.

There's no way for this not to come off as pretentious but whatever, so be it.
Whenever there's a geek friendly option it seems to usually win these polls while world cinema seldom does. I mean, so many podcasts have discussed What We Do in the Shadows. How many (aside perhaps from original recipe) have discussed Cannes Palm D'or winner and auteur master Ceylan's Winter Sleep? I know these are crowd-sourced options so the winner isn't the fault of Matt and Allison but it would be nice if sometimes the options for an episode weren't so varied. For example, one poll consisting of "duller" world cinema options. Or three silent films, or three classic film noir films. This way we'd be guaranteed different types of films being discussed.

Ugh, I saw WWDITS in the theatre and I was quite disappointed to find it a middling effort. Plus, the Filmspotting mothership has already reviewed it, and recently at that. I'd love it if this next episode provided the public service of convincing not just the hosts but also some of the listeners -- including myself -- to finally curl up for a nice Winter's Sleep.
