Was the punishment fair for Deflategate?

The difference between this case and the domestic abuse cases - is that this violation happened "at the office". In the other cases - the rule of law had the judgment - and unless someone is found guilty, nothing should prevent that individual from practicing in the profession that they've been trained to perform in.

Brady cheated AT the office. If I'm a CFO of a company and I embezzle....but only a little - EVEN IF I return the money two weeks later...Should I be able to keep my job? While you might say - Well this is sports, it's for entertainment only....Why the selective integrity? Who's to say that the 3-point win the Patriots eked out against the Ravens (just before they played the Colts) would have happened if they hadn't had "deflation assistance"? So while the social media comments might seem overblown to you guys...don't you think that the general theme is that people in this country are a little tired of the cheaters getting ahead and the "rule players" staying where they're at?

Brady should be thankful he didn't get fired. In ANY OTHER "normal profession" in this country....he would have been.
