Everyday low wages. Who can be happy about that prospect? One-third of WalMart Superstores are built with the equivalent in tax payer subsidies for low wage workers in health care and food. The Walton Family heirs and heiress are enjoying their billions ($20+ the richest in America) plus billions in dividends while stealing wages of millions of Americans as they pay their income taxes. WalMart Stores also get the extra benefits in special property tax loopholes. Great Falls is getting a very bad deal for not building a solid base for legitimate businesses. 'Why now?

STOP THE STORE BEFORE ITS BUILT

This was no secret. When I first heard about the plans I said it was going to be Wal-Mart and they wouldn't tell us so they could slip it in before the people of this city could raise a fuss like we did when they tried this before. The wish list was Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Costco, Dillard's, World Market, Lowe's, Kohl's, Cabela's and more. Does anyone in power in this city care what "we, the people" want? The answer is "NO!" Hey voters, it is time to vote the bums out at the next election and all the elections after that until we get people in power that care what the voters want. If you don't you will keep getting more of the same old, same old. We have ben complacent for much too long.

I don't shop at the first Wal-Mart. Why would I shop at another trashy store? Great Falls has the opportunity to bring in higher quality businesses and fails miserably.

Oh great! Just what we need, another future empty building on the east-end.
