While I do believe her punishment was fair, I believe she deserved to suffer more. Also if I was Naofumi I would've taken the Queens offer and taken her as a private slave and had Rat modify her so that she could be easily pregnable by monsters. Then had her be the village gopher by day and have her suffer the pain and humiliation of all those she harmed with her deceit and such. And then by night had her be adult Gaelions sex toy to breed more dragons. As well when other monsters went into heat like Firo, have her act as their partner to breed more powerful monsters. And his crime was way bigger than the malty he burned child if you remember but bitch just decieved people and tried take crown. As a response in Enkida, this western male would like to point out, that A: if Bitch were male, ass rape would not be the only thing, as Bitch also suffered dismemberment, and B: I can honestly say without any doubt, if Bitch were a male, I would hope he gets ass-raped so hard/much and thoroughly, that if he were to open his mouth, vou would see head. That and I believe the author's use of no "soley good character" is because he, like myself, believes that humans are not inherently good nor evil, but are shaped by their upbringings and habitat. Another good point is that Naofumi constantly says that his initial interactions with those in this world, not just Bitch, have made him this way, and that he could have ended up like those other 3, and that this is a matter of truth versus ideal, do you accept the cruel truths around you, and remain forever unhappy, but become aware to the dangers around you, both physical and mental, or blindly look at the ideal that thale word wants to be seen as, but does nothing to become, and live in happiness and relative stability. The best pars of the hero's character development is when their ideal of their crusade against the evil around them, their one sided arguments and obstinance are shattered by the harsh truth of the world, their own transgressions become painfully aware, and they sink increasingly quickly into madness, until they hit that curve, and reach a self-aware, disgusted enlightenment. The hero of the shield seems to be the one who comes closest to nihilism, where rather then seeing no right or wrong, only what is most beneficial, he sees that what both the world and his past self would have considered morally wrong, he accepts as necessary or as the most beneficial option, reveling in revenge and the despair and enlightenment of his enemies, who with their new awareness, try to create the ideal, and change the truth, whereas he wishes to spread this cynicism for his own amusement.

Honestly, if she had died then and there, I would have been deeply disappointed with the author. It would immediately make the entire plot childish and immature.
Sure, it starts great, the supposed hero finds himself at a disadvantage, betrayed and shamed at every corner in every way. But he gets passed it, he survives. The fact that the bitch lasted as a sign of the unreachable enemy; her life goes on, and its infuriating, people wonder how she hasn't dug her own grave yet. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, all of that changes. Sure, its cool when the underdog gets a few new weapons and a slight advantage, but it went above and beyond that, he not only becomes the most respected hero, all of his enemies eat shit. Even Ren and Itsuki. The king is treated like shit (i quite enjoyed the reformation and repent that the guy went through), the 'unreachable' enemy was now at his feet, and he purposely sends her to a jabba the hut who is apparently even more disgusting, and gets her RAPED TO DEATH. It was atrocious. Very unpleasant to read, and i felt the author had completely brought down the brilliant underdog story he had built up to that point.
Looking at it from the author's point of view, it wouldnt be a stretch to say he is putting his own feelings into this. He is the creator of this story, he could very well do anything with any one of the characters at any time, and with that power, he tears down 'his' enemies, is totally unforgiving, and on top of that, Everyone is unnaturally sympathetic with the main character. Everyone on his side, "feels his pain" and will do anything for him, Atlas, Raphtalia, etc. and Bitch got the cruellest of deaths. EVEN NOW, Against Tate, he barely tries, then he beats him up, revives him, kills his subordinates, beats him up, revives him, etc. -__- Its like the author has this thing where a decent human enemy to fight doesn't exist, and there will never be an ideology worthy of existing alongside his own. Its not that i agree with any of the enemies, but everyone here is so easily identifiable as the bad guy. There is no one who actually has a goal other than "gonna build a harem", "gonna take over the world AND BUILD AN EVEN BIGGER HAREM", or "Gonna fuck around with the main character for no reason whatsoever, lets make me religious while im at it to mock the majority of other people's ideologies while im at it 8D".
LONG STORY SHORT, the death was far too gruesome, and if she hadn't come back to life, this story would be far less interesting.

While I think Bitch's punishment on the whole was both too graphic AND too much, I saw how ot tied into the meta story of having Naofumi develop the mad scientist arc sin tree. That needed to happen for the author's breakdown/critique of the "newly defined" 7 sins in the real world, which I enjoyed, because the new 7 sins are really dumb and openly anti-science. Still, using that sort of traditional masochistic male dominance violence against women, as a woman, I found it plain old offensive. I suspect if Bitch had been a male character and there were violent and overly descriptive depictions of ass rape instead, a lot of male readers, especially the western ones, would protest loudly in disgust. Well, that's how (this) female western reader feels about it.

She's done a great many horrible things and has long since crossed the Moral Event Horizon (sorry to bring TV Tropes terms into this), but the punishment does seem extreme to me. It's just pointlessly cruel. It would better neither her nor the Pig King as people and her slow death would only result in some twisted self-satisfaction that worsens the moral standing of everyone involved. And even with that fate shoved in her face, she feared only for her own life and wellbeing, unable to empathize with anyone. A person of that sociopathy and cunning, it's more pragmatic to kill them quickly. Gives them less chance to escape and retaliate.

I personally feel that there is a line to be crossed where you can still reform or redeem someone. After crossing that then they lose any rights and exist solely in terms what can they can be used to achieve in terms of helping others. So it was somewhat useful but feels like too effort given anyway.
