Are "Variable Rate" Electricity Contracts Unfair, And Should The Practice Be Illegal?

    Think about this...

    In 2013, our very own Governor- Dannel P. Malloy- proposed that 800,000 standard offer customers be auctioned off to these third party providers to raise $80 million to help the deficit we faced then... and bear in mind... does any of these providers exist as a charity? If they're buying our accounts for $80 million, they'll make sure they're going to get more than that from us.

    I consciously chose the "standard offer" and kept with the old provider. I do not take kindly to the potential of my state governor would try to slam me with such a move because they refuse to live within their means.
