Which Drone Do You Like Better?

I like the Sprite, because of modularity, and the intrinsic appeal of stability implied by it's mass suspended from counter rotating props. It looks tougher. The comment made by another that the Sprite v. Lily is similar to Android v. iPhone .. pretty much captures my thoughts, as well.
    I wish both companies well.

At the end of the day it all comes down to the quality of the footage. Having greater control and more options is nice, but only if the end result is good footage. Of course the demo videos aren't necessarily a reflection of reality, but the Lily footage is spectacular, while the limited Sprite footage, quite simply, is not. It appears shaky, and the clips are short - none of the sweeping dynamic shots that the Lily demonstrates.

As of this moment, the poll is heavily in favor of Lily. I agree that Lily has better pricing and delivery stability, and this is a big draw, but Sprite is WAY better in terms of features IMO. I'd hate to see an innovation like this not make it just on account of being in early stages.

Lily is the iPhone, and Sprite is the Android. If you like lock-in, non-replaceable batteries (wait for charge), non-user-maintainable, and narrow focused non-expandable features and future, but you like sleek, specialized quality for at least the one thing it was designed for (selfies) then Lily is for you. Sprite (like Android hardware/software in my analogy) clearly excels in the area of versatility, purpose/application, customizability, maintenance, etc. If you want to really be in control of and OWN your device AFTER you purchase it, Sprite is totally the shiz. But Sprite does need to get their act together in terms of price, collision avoidance, and a few other areas that are perceived as weak points.

If Sprite or Lily offered an SDK for software hackers, that would be a plus for either. :)

I see promise is both designs, but feel Lily has provided a more solid demonstration of the drones abilities. Sprite does lend itself to more flexibility with the GPS route programming but then that can also lead to misuse. Battery life on the Sprite too short. Collision detection would really make for a superior product and make the Lily even more appealing. Sprite pricing and uncertainty of delivery big con for me.

Obstacle avoidance and mission planner app would be the complete package for me. I'm hoping this makes it into the Lily by the time mine ships out. Can't wait!

there are shots to make besides "follow-me" - its like all selfies, all the time. I'd like a drone that can do follow-me well, but also has a controller so I can take landscape and art sequences without people in them. Also, collision detection is critical in autonomous flying drones. If the drone is following a target via a proximity, it also needs to be looking straight at its own flight path and either avoiding obstacles or stopping and alerting the operator. Need multiple batteries, because 10 minutes of flying time between long charges is just not accepotable for remote locations.
