Anybody who apologises or says they are god fearing or that this sicko and his lobotomised wife deserve to keep their own kids after this has happened, let alone Michelle and her dominant Christian psycho husband getting off scott-free and making their kids tell lies as not to further embarass their demented brother Josh, are as discusting as the Duggers. I don't care about forgiveness. There is no forgiveness for kiddy-diddlers. They don't recover, can never recover - from pedophilia. He will do it to his own kids while his pathethic wife stand by just like Michelle did. Who are these people - ISIS? They don't let a woman have an education, the man makes all the decisions, they have to be modest while the men do whatever they want - literally now as we can see. Sickos. And the ones who suffer because people cry and bemoan this poor family's situation (puke) are the CHILDREN! That's all who anyone should care about in all this. Ask yourself if you would like to be a vulnerable Dugger child, trapped and forced to lie because your parents are cowards and hypocrites. These girls are expected to live with this their entire life, and as anyone that has ever been molested or raped knows - it never, EVER, leaves you. You can't move on like everyone else. Why weren't all the children removed after this came out? Legal loopholes be damned - this is about the minds of children. I repeat, ANYONE who thinks he's been hard done by - just imagine that was your kid. Now how do you feel? You can't make everything go away by asking for forgiveness. God isn't listening to these liars anymore. And He wouldn't listen to anyone who was a child molester/rapist, or those that aid and abet them. Have your sympathy for the truly wronged - all those kids still trapped in those houses of horrors.

After reading this very disturbing news, I feel like a fool for believing a family that seems so wholesome and god fearing would allow such things to happen. The fact that they stress about their daughters choice not to even kiss or hug frontally with a boyfriend only to discover that their own brother has been exploring their bodies and getting sexual satisfaction from little girls, much younger than himself and that the parents allowed this to go on.. It is sick..I enjoyed watching this show before, knowing this truth I will never look at this family the same.. We all make mistakes as parents, it is learn as you go and hope your doing your best.. But this, covering up and pretending to be Holy, Christian family and allowing incest? That is just wrong..so very wrong.. God bless those little girls who had to endure this.. Michelle, Jim Bob and Josh should reflect and maybe read the bible instead of pointing out what a precious, wholesome, God fearing life they lead.. Hypocrites..Makes me sad

If he has touched his own sisters than you know what he is doing to his poor daughter! One time is a mistake 5 times needs to be put in a cell with "bubba". I feel sorry for his sister and daughter, not so much the wife cause that girl knew what she was getting herself into! DISCUSTING!!!

Please don't take this show off the air. My life loves this family.

Please don't cancel the show i truly love this family.

I realize what he did was wrong but the past is the past and he shows how sorry he is, no it isn't right but that doesn't mean you have to punish the whole family. Therefore the entire show SHOULD NOT be canceled.

He committed a serious crime and violated young girls. He knew it was wrong his family taught him not to even touch his wife until he was married. He is sick and twisted. They took the crime to a family friend who hid it for years. He deserves to be punished just as any other child molester. Who knows how many girls he abused. Yes God does forgive but you have to be punished by the law of the land. And in the US this is illegal, immoral, unethical and just sick. If you let Josh off the hook because he "apologized and asked for forgiveness" then why not just let out all of the child rapist and molesters out of jail if they apologize too. He needs to go to prison and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. His wife should not trust him around their children. And too add to the sickness her molested his own sisters. His sickness wwill haunt them for the rest of their lives.

He was only 14 years old when that happened! 14 years old! And the world is calling for his life to be ruined because of it? He has lived since then in a way that would make the most judgmental of us proud. He has a beautiful wife and three children with a fourth on the way. He is a good husband and father. He was apparently an important part of his church and the community until his life was ruined because of this hunger of the press to make a great story no matter whose lives are destroyed. The victims were undoubtedly his sisters, and they have forgiven him, why cannot complete strangers?
Do not misunderstand. I cannot abide the Dugger family or their values. Their views on gays and transgenders turn my stomach. In fact almost everything about them turns my stomach. But what is being done to this husband and father is WRONG! The world cannot take out on him everything that they feel that his family has said and done! In a world where a woman can be shown in a sex tape performing every type of oral sex, then be called the most influential woman of the year by a prestigious magazine.....Why can a boy, 14 years old, not be forgiven for touching girls over their clothes......People, get some perspective! Hate the Duggers like I do, but stop crucifying this husband and father!

I have been watching this show along time and think the Duggats have done a wonderful job at raising their children. God is very pleased i am sure of that. They are doing it the right way. We all have to remember that we are human and we will surely do things were not soppose to. Does this mean we cant be forgiven? Do notcast a stone unless you are absolutely sure you have no hidden sins. Josh duggar has confessed his sin and is surely forgiven. Lets all forgive and let the family heal, they need are blessings and prayers not our negativity. God bless the duggar family they are wonderful god fearing people!!

Personally, Josh did admit what he did was wrong and took the consequences, but it doesnt give the public a reason to destroy the show. He was wrong, very wrong but its not like they kept it a secret the local police were involved in the wrongdoing. Also why should the rest of the family be punished for his wrongdoing? He was honest with his siblings, mother, father, and even the public. The duggars have strict rules, there also homeshcooled, they have no knowledge and being cooped up, comes The desire for this behaviour. I am not saying his actions were right, but he and his parents delt with this matter. If you believe in God and Jesus don't they forgive the unfogivable? Would they crush a family for one's wrongdoing? No they wouldn't crush them, they would help them through it. If they would do these acts why can't humanity? I think the show should NOT be cancelled because of his mistakes. Nobody's perfect that's why we forgive.

After much research on this case that is still available, these parents took professional and ethical action not only for their son, their family but also for the other outside victims. I have to consider when people live in isolated life styles, hormones kick in and limited access to learning through social experiences can potentially create situations like this, as unfortunate as it may be (not to suggest that this is A-Typical).

I have to look at what the victims needed during the first outcome, through the situation and now after the situation. If the victim is wanting the records to be closed and destroyed I have to support this. It does not mean that they are in denial, they simply don't want the publicity from this families show to expose their experiences. Seems like there was counseling, healing, education and forgiveness.

I think Jim Bob and his wife responded correctly, the police and community were involved. Not always does a jail sentence resolve the situations in a healthy way. Evidently the way it was handled by all seems to suggest that the powers that be were supported, on the right track and appropriate for this particular situation.

If this young man would not have come public with this, while being married with children at this late date for all of us to learn about what is going on in his heart, healing and life we may have never known about this. The same can be said about the knowledge because of the television exposure. Please, I am not excusing this behavior by any means- but think what bring this subject up by him means to his personal and professional life. I am sure he did this as repenting and respect to those families who may have these temptations and mis-guided actions in their lives- helping others learn from his mistakes and mis-judgement as a teenager.

Shame on society for judging him. If anything, have him step down from the show, but even this seems very inappropriate. For those who have wronged someone or done something in life that they can honestly say to themselves they are worthy of throwing a stone- please look in the mirror. This was now 12 years ago and ALL parties involved as well as the police and parents took positive and ethical action for healing, learning and education for appropriate actions for feelings as a young person. They also did the same for the victims. If the victims, which some where his siblings, can forgive him and he is learning to forgive himself and finding strength in his faith- this is MORE than MOST individuals do under these similar circumstances.

If for whatever reason the network and society decides that they do not want Josh to continue on this show, this is their decision. But do not punish this young man through the media- society only gets part of the information and forms a decision based on limited information- shame on them. But to punish the rest of the family is disappointing. From a counselor point of view I find it interesting to watch their family dynamics and how they walk the walk in life and not all lip service.

Josh Duggar- God bless you, your family and the victims. I am proud of you that you have learned and are helping others with your story. Not all families speak about the secrets within their own families but will wag their tongues at the world. Your parents have done right by you, your siblings and the others involved to include the police, the families of the others, and even the television show staffing and network.

I can only hope that we use this situation to grow from and heal as people in society. I find it interesting that the report says the victims were underage- so was he... The parents here did right by it all with the support of their faith and GOD's guidance. Stay strong and continue to trust in your faith and each other.

This is a tough situation. While I am not trying to downplay what he did, I think it is being blown way out of proportion. His parents did not try to hide what he did but took appropriate steps for all involved, even though it was delayed, they fessed up.That in itself shows honesty and courage... you know, things true people of God are about. We all make mistakes and I want all the people that are throwing stones at the Duggars to declare they are perfect and sinless. Here is the perfect example of Christian persecution; should we hang them on a cross? God forgives anyone that asks for it and it is important to remember Christians are also human. Jesus Christ was the only perfect person ever born.

I have spent my 40 year career working with children and their parents. While I would hope this situation would never occur, I know that it does. Young adolescents are sexually curious and sometimes go beyond what we consider "normal". I do not know the Duggar family nor have I ever seen even one episode of their television show. However, from reading both the young man's apology and his parents' letter to the public, I believe that they handled the situation both then and since in a responsible and forthright manner. The young man confessed, apologized and has "made restitution" by living his life in an exemplary manner during the past 12 years. He was honest with his future wife, with her parents and now with the public. Should he be punished for the remainder of his life for a mistake he made at the age of 14 ? I realized there are consequences to wrong doing, but it seems that he has paid a great deal already and should be allowed to continue his life in the new direction he has been travelling for over 10 years now. Unfortunately for him, his wife and children, his siblings and his parents, I'm afraid this may never be possible. What a shame that in today's culture, this family is vilified and destroyed. I'm guessing that they will survive without the TV show because of their deep faith and their deep love for God, their children and each other.
