The comment by Jan Culley yesterday is marvellous, she put into words what so many people including me think about the subject of Eorope and Nigel Farage! I think he should certainly be in the forefront of the campaign to try and bring us out of the EU . I think Nigel is the best thing that has happened to this country, although it saddens me the way he is treated bt people who don't get him and think UKIP is a racist party.

I think the best way to resolve this issue is to ask the members of UKIP since it appears certain members of the hierarchy don't seem to be able to without talking to the press. Get all UKIP members to vote on the issue. My personal belief is that someone wants Nigel Farage out of politics mainly because they are scared of his influence. He is without doubt the most knowledgeable in terms of the EU and he has built UKIP into what it is today. Carswell does not have the personality to front this and if UKIP wants to keep its membership I think someone needs to control the negativity being fed to the press.

It will not make any difference who runs the fronts the campaign unless you can discredit all these business leaders who keep saying jobs will be lost. Take for instrance Airbus management who quote a loss of 20000 jobs if we leave the EUROPEAN. Imagine the wing maker's in GB. Then voting to pull out. Of course they won't. It should be mandatory to prove these job losses if such a statement is made prior to the referendum. This applies also to my party UKIP

my thoughts on referendum is , we should have a panel of leaders who all want out of e.u ! One from each of the political parties Tories ,labour and libdems ( if we can find one ) and Mr farage of ukip , we need a figure head of industry may be digby jones also a union leader as well as I'm sure the leader of the r.m.t wanted out of e.u . That's how I would approach it

If Farage leads the campaign you have UKIP voters. But little else besides. It desperately needs someone the public have little preconceptions about. If Nigel leads - we've already lost. If he believes in the cause so much, he'll do the right thing and sideline himself for the campaign to stand a greater chance of success.

Nigel Farage is so knowledgeable about the EU. Knows every twist and turn and is the very best person to trust to make sure we are not manipulated by Cameron who has his own personal agenda. Carswell appears to me to be a preacher and cannot sufficiently communicate the explainations about the EU required to vote from explicit information. Therefore Carswell would be the last possible person to lead any campaign about the EU. He does seem to me to be acting very much like Kilroy Silk did when he joined UKIP and immediately attempted a coup for the leadership.. People I think are looking for some integrity in their politicians and Nigel Farage is coming out on top for this quality. Almost 4 million people are supporting and voted for Farage and UKLP,. Not so Carswell.

As with the general election campaign, the ones who want their own way - at ANY cost - will lead a very negative campaign. As the main benefit of our membership of the eu is to create yet more wealth (and thereby give yet more power!) to big business and to the small percentage of the population operating those businesses, taking NO account of how this affects the majority of GB citizens, I think we can rest assured that fear tactics will once again be used against the electorate to FRIGHTEN them into remaining in the eu. Worse, as the ones conducting this negative campaign are the ones with all the money, I think we can safely deduce that there will be NO lower limit to the depths of intimidation to which they will not stoop to get their way!
Not only will the media be manipulated NOT to give any positive encouragement to the populace - but it can also be paid limitless amounts of money to spread negativity and fear of leaving the eu amongst the electorate!
My considered conclusion - like him or not, GB & NI electorate KNOW Nigel Farage is a man of integrity, you will hear the truth (whether you like it, or not!), he speaks from his heart and his heart belongs to the country of his birth! That is, he would ONLY ever want what he believes is THE BEST for GB & NI. Add to that, his long time, extensive knowledge of politics generally, his extensive knowledge of the European Union and it's relationship with GB & NI especially, his knowledge of business and economics, his undoubted courage, credibility and determination to deal with what ever is thrown at him (however much circumstances are 'loaded' against him!), his articulation - and his good humour - and I can think of no other human being I would rather defend MY best interests and the best interests of MY country! There is NO doubt in my mind that Nigel Farage should lead the campaign for GB & NI withdrawal from the European Union.
Whilst I very much respect Douglas Carswell's undoubted courage in joining UKIP in the first instance and then again winning his constituency seat, other than that, he is, as yet, an unknown quantity to the British public. This critical imminent In/Out referendum campaign is too important to risk allowing someone else, who may or may not have all the qualities required to 'make the grade', to front the Out campaign!
This, In/Out referendum HAS to be led from the front by the best man (or woman, for that matter!) for the job - and that man is Nigel Farage!

Even though I was a UKIP PPC, I think the out campaign should be led by an industrialist like the Owner of JCB. people will not trust politicians but would trust an industrialist who could look at the effects of the Brexit on business. Nigel is totally committed to Britain leaving the EU, but too many people are anti-Farage and that could skew the outcome. Also, no EU migrants should be allowed to vote, as 5 million + immigrants would note vote against it.

Carswell is right. It wounds me to say this but to many people Nigel Farrage is like marmite. You either like it or loath it but we all know of it. A good general doesn't always lead from the front to win a battle, but can take the glory when they do, as Montgomery did in North Africa.
