I have to say no. I'm a very picky eater so the chances of the plate being to my liking is very low. That is the same reason why I don't fix plates for other people. Also my family experience has turned my off to the concept

I don't know if its common but my family puts a lot of stock into a woman fixing a man's plate. If a woman doesn't fix her man's plate, she ain't shit. As soon as it time to eat, my grandma will tell women to go fix their man's plate and then go back to fix their own. Both of my grandmas preach about how serving a man keeps him around even though both of my grandpas had secret families.

My cousin's girlfriend didn't fix his plate and the women talked shit about her the whole afternoon and still haven't let it go. And this wasn't a small BBQ. There was a least 10 meat choices and twenty five side dishes to choose from. How the hell was she supposed know what that nigga wanted? She refused, made her own plate and sat down. To make matters worse my cousin made it seem like making his own plate was the most tedious task of all time.
