Having lived in California for many years after being raised in Maine I have seen first hand how illegals have destroyed a state economy. Thanks mostly to the democrat party letting it happen. I pray it doesn't happen here but fear it will as the dems are a majority here too.

i say no way, seal up the borders. Try being a single income family of 3 and and God forbid you need a little help once in a while and all you hear is I'm sorry, you make too much to qualify for any type of assistance . If the dems get their way we will all be sitting on our asses and sucking up public assistance.then where the hell is the money coming from? Think about it bleeding hearts.

This is a bigger problem then people think, they are sucking the U.S.A dry of funds that real Americans need we need to send all of them packing to where ever they came from, on a boat that has a slow leak. The fish could use some food.

The fact that this question is even asked is ABSURD Really Sean, Really, Are you kidding me right now ???

Asylum is and always has been a part of our foreign policy. The solution is to make their care part of the state departments budget and not to dump them off on state assistance. This will result in a more stringent process and limit the amount of people the government offers it to. Private charities as well should limit who they want to care for to a well thought out plan to what they can afford to support. Simply stated any great idea should be properly planned for and stick to the plan. That alone would eliminate waste from government and charities.

Sean's comment, "If the federal government brings them in, then the federal government should fit the bill." FYI the Federal Government gets their money from us workers (middle class workers), so we would be fitting the bill. And, If a private charity sponsors them, that will end, they will run out of money. This is a no win win situation?

SEAN HAS IT RIGHT. AS FOR ILLEGALS, SEND 'EM BACK.

Asylum seekers should be sponsored by an organization and supported by that organization. If the federal government brings them in, then the federal government should fit the bill. If a private charity sponsors them, then they should ensure they have the resources to provide for them and if the need is great and justified than they should seek donations by informing the citizenry of the need and raise funds accordingly.
