If you airbnb it's a great idea, but you have to go through so many different people in and out of your life! It's so transient. No commitment or housing relationship you speak of. You Still have to screen people-only now, it's a revolving door. I say get a short timer. Maybe it'll become permanent if the job situation becomes permanent. Or maybe someone at that persons' job will be interested in taking it after they're done with the short rental!

its easy to let someone in and live in your home. its the most hardest situation to get out of if its not working out. its so very worth it to take baby steps in finding a roommate compatable with yourself and to have a working realationship.

Funny i have been displaced by this apple influx.
I am looking for a roommate or place of my own hoping someone renting is kind and caring as my landlord died.
Im 55 single and the couch surfing thing just dosnt cut it anymore.
I work in los altos so here you go how much is the rent and is there a pool or air conditioning? Jc

What about the one who complimented you on your application writing skills? "one prospective tenant told me she got a good feel for my personality and found the listing to be a good mix of warm and welcoming, but straightforward."
