If your having good coversation with who ever your having lunch or dinner with, who cares if the waiter or waitress takes your plate. i would rather have someone attentive to my table then sit there for ever waiting for someone to accknowledge me. I have been in the customer service industry for 27 years, now my job is different, but no one has ever complained about removing glasses or dishes.
