  I've just bought a 50mm lens it's the first lens I've bought other than the kit lens and it's great

  I have a Nikon 50mm lens use it on my D7100, (not all the time) It is about the cheapest lens they do a great little lens a a great little price

  I am a Leica (film) user and a 50mm Summicron is obligatory.
  Have them for the Nikon film SLR's and DSLR's. Why not they are a bargain?
  They cost less than a decent memory card.

  I started photography back in 1987 and have had a 50mm ever since.

  My current 50 is the Pentax DA 50/1.8 I also use a Pentax DA40/2.8 on a regular basis. I value the extra speed and the sharpness over a zoom.

  It's in the loft with my OM 10. I don't have one for my DSLRs.

  I have three, one is the Rokkor Macro f 3.5.
  I use it to take photographs of my Cacti flowers
