It is a war memorial, on LEASED land. No different that if you leased a peice of land on canton Ferry lake to build a cabin. Would the government be allowed to stop you from putting a picture on the wall? The Constitution says that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,..." Congress is NOT making a law establishing a religion here. But by forcing the REMOVAL of the statue IS prohibiting the free exercise of religion by these men who erected a memorial to our fallen soldiers.

This issue is nothing more that some people who are demanding control over the the minds and actions of others. That, and the fact that lawyers involved in these cases (ACLU) can make big money when they win, (legal fees) and pay nothing if they lose. (And it is the taxpayer that gets the shaft.) Typical of the liberal mindset, sadly.

There is nothing to base the removal of this memorial other than some fears of athiests or people with nothing better to do than whine about something. There is nothing in the constitution that say you have the right to NOT be offended. I am offended by many things, but I dont demand that they be removed.

Absolutely not!!! It should remain standing. I'm sure the forefathers had no idea how low society would fall when they were writing the constitution and bill of rights.
