    Apple sucks!

Apple Music just doesn't have my kind of music. When I can get Bach instead of schlock, perhaps I'll consider it.

How do i uninstall apple music from my phone? Help

  • Rory - 9 years ago

I'm using both during the Apple Music's 3 month free trial. I'll make my decision then but as yet I'm not sure.

Spotify's UI is much better and more intuitive and all my playlists/music are already there but I like Apple Music's integration, especially when using Siri in the car. I'm also a fan of Beats1 however there are bugs still to be worked out.

I would like some tool to transfer all my existing music from Spotify to Apple Music (which I'm sure will be available before long).

At the moment I'm leaning towards staying with Spotify but I've still got over two months to decide yet so a lot can change.

I believe Apple is not all that their arrogant fans claim. They pay crazy amount of money on technologies and products that are either outdated or don't worth the money. They never try something different and they think because they have bought an Apple product which they have paid a lot of money for it, they own the best in whole world and the rest are just a big NO.

    Xbox music rocks!

I've been a happy Spotify user for the past couple of years. I decided to switch to Apple Music for a bit to see what it was about. I didn't expect this to happened but I've cancelled my premium Spotify account and will be sticking with Apple Music.

Why? Well, the music libraries are basically the same as far as I can tell so that's a push. But, I frequently listen to several different genres of music and I've found Beats 1 to be a great tool for finding interesting new music. The music recommendations are almost scary good! The curated playlists have introduced me to some new stuff I'd have never found otherwise.

I kind of miss the social aspect of Spotify but that's just a minor issue. Apple Music could use some tweaking with the interface - it's a bit wonky in places - but I'm sure that will come with future updates. All in all, I really like Apple Music so I plan on keeping it.

Apple Music is missing the one feature which will keep me on Google Play Music: the ability to listen to my music at work via my web browser.

Like most corporations, my employer will never allow me to install iTunes on my office PC. Apple Music requires either an app or iTunes. Virtually every other streaming service lets users access and listen to their music via a web browser.

Until Apple Music gives me the freedom to listen to my music over a browser, I won't be biting. Oh - and I'm paying $7.99 CAD/month for Google Play Music which is a far better service than Apple Music to begin with.

Why no voting category for using Apple Music and Spotiy ... as I do? Both have their pros and cons.
I like them both. I get Spotify Premium for free from my telco and will quite probably subscribe to Apple Music after the initial three month freebie.

Apple should have bought Spotify, not Beats

I'm using Spotify and switched from Apple Music

Apple music is in a mess. Every time apple updates something, something else is broken or removed. Beats1 is a lame way to listen to live radio that burns data or chains me to a wifi hotspot. Curated playlists recommends the most boring songs that I've listened before and connect is just a failed sister of iTunes Ping. Why does apple want to be a part of everything when they are not even good at it. Just look at that carplay

Apple Music is much better compared to Spotify. There are more selections and it's cheaper(if you take into account the 3 month free trial) especially if there are more than 2 people in your household using it. Spotify can't beat the $15 family plan.
    Radio feature is much better.

For what it's worth, I think the first category above is Apple's target market, not the second one - I think Apple is not necessarily going after switchers, but first time streaming users. Users who use (and have no significant issues with) the Music app on their iPhones already, and are willing to click the "pay-10-dollars-a-month" button.

people who left spotify: you clearly do not know what you are missing out

OH PLEASE. i can see what my friends are listening to on spotify. what social features does apple music have? i don't want to "connect" with the artist, i want to connect with my friends.

I'm loving the new Running feature of Spotify. Until Apple Music can catch up with Spotify, it is out of the question. Who cares if taylor swift exist or not, nobody actually listens to her music outside the united states anyway.

  • Glen - 9 years ago

I tried to use it, but Apple doesn't support people who LIKE music. I can't turn on cloud library because I have more than 25,000 songs in iTunes.

  • Bradley - 9 years ago

Tidal should not even exist. lol

  • Kim - 9 years ago

Switched to apple music from Spotify and instantly regret it. The playlists sucked, recommendations sucked, and the selection of music sucked. How could apple music suck so bad.

  • oncomd - 9 years ago

Interphase is not well organized and needs tabs such as "mood" like spotify. It also needs several steps to reach the tab u need. Will stick with apple but app needs clean up

Apple is just a brand .. This is like asking what type of CD player do you play your CD's on .... It really doesn't matter, music is music .... All services are call pretty much the same in reality .... I am a fan of Apple music & plan to use it primarily ... but it doesn't mean the other services are not good ... They are all great ... An orange is an orange regardless to which grocery store I purchase it from ... just like music is music regardless to the source I decide to listen to it from .... I love all the services and have used them all .... Glad Apple is a choice now ... Streaming music is a new concept & spotify rules in this area but my hats off to Apple for recognizing this is an area that is needed for us music heads of the world .. Beats 1 is innovative & awesome !

Spotify and Nike is the perfect duo. Apple and Nike? Nothing much for many years besides that Nike+ app that is left hidden by default. And now Apple music? Pfft forget it

  • Richard - 9 years ago

i never bother with streaming music, I like my own collection better. I don't like radio stations so why would I bother with streaming music which is also someone else's version of what they'd think I'd like. I find it better to have personal choice, control and artist commitment, plus I own the music and the sound quality is much higher. I think this streaming music thing, like ebooks, is just a fad that will die out when listeners realize they are treated like sheep. Thanks for the opportunity to comment, cheers.

I am using Apple Music and switched from Rhapsody. The huge but often overlooked streaming music service. You should really have that as an option. Especially over Tidal. Subscriber base is larger by far.

  • Jclay - 9 years ago

What about the survey option "I tried Apple Music and all it did was reinforce my decision to stick with Spotify / other streaming service". That's the option I would have selected. Apple Music is messy at best and the new iTunes is full of technical and usability issues. I used to like everything Apple but feel they are really starting to lose the plot.

What is an Apple Music? Torrenting music is so much better

  • Priya - 9 years ago

Seriously? Guys? Either you have no taste in music or you are just Apple fantards. Spotify is the best thing that could happen to music, apple is just profiting on the idea and is delivering subpar music experience. You guys can't be as dumb as that tayloser swhore right. Apple music is a joke.

  • Jacinta - 9 years ago

I think I will stick with Spotify for the moment. I would be very disappointed if Apple Music becomes a category killer.

  • Paul - 9 years ago

Until Apple music allows lossless music streaming I won't consider it. I use a HiFi with a sepetate class A DAC that do make enough improvement to sound quality to justify Tidal's HiFi streaming service

  • Sunil - 9 years ago

I'm using Apple Music, but I'll switch back to Rdio after the trial. I love Apple Music, but I can't switch until I can use it on Sonos.
