Agree with Eric. Wet Hot American Summer is an exercise in patting ourselves on the back for all the 1980s and 90s references we can pull out of a long since dead video store's shelves.
This poll was a bit of a crisis for me. Wet Hot American Summer is one of my favorite movies. I have watched it endlessly. I could not be more excited for the upcoming Netflix series, with its complete returning cast and cavalcade of excellent guest stars. But if there's one show (besides Hannibal perhaps) that I wish people were watching more, it's You're the Worst. It's funny, honest, charming, and unique. It's resoundingly great, and even inspired the web series I am filming right now. So, though my heart lies with Wet Hot, my vote lies with You're the Worst.
You're The Worst was one of the best new shows last year. Every character seemed like a real person, not some cliche sitcom trope.
