1. Buy American. (Corvette)
2. Easy to get service and parts. Chevy dealers in every small town, USA
3. Porsche's are very expensive, to buy, maintain, and operate.
4. Performance for the buck. Corvette's C7-Z06 is still under 100 g's and is faster than the Porsche, both in acceleration and top end. (I own both, well, my wife owns the Porsche, and I the Z.)
5. Not that we need to figure this one, but...Corvette, averaging 71mph; 32MPG, porsche averaging 71mph; 22mpg.
No brainer there!
