Our forefathers were all immigrants from China, India, Malaysia and some even as far as Europe so what's the big deal of having more foreigners,one might have been out of a job for months or even years, and the first issue they think about are foreigners taking over their jobs but this are jobs which singaporeans do not want, cleaners drivers ,telephone operator, cooks, retail salesman, to name afew.
LOOK at countries in South east Asia, which country can achieve what we have in the last 50 years,than decide who or which party you want to run singapore.If the opposition party were to run singapore, do u think they can change any policy to make singapore better,I seriously doubt they can get anywhere the PAP standard..There will always be issue regarding FT, but irregardless which party gets into the house, the bottom line is finding the right balance .

My sympathy to Pioneer Generations & Citizens whose sacrificed e past 50 years of Nation Building rewarded by mismanagement & retention of their CPF & Unfulfilled Promises & SG Dreams:(
