For the past 8 years we have provided a lecture service to a wide range of conservation and wildlife organisations. We use a Canon Xeed projector. When you show your images in a 400 seat lecture theatre projected onto a 24 foot wide screen it makes any other viewing experience seem mediocre at best.
I used to have one to show my slides, and I might get a digital projector in future.
(Another missing answer: whoever is responsible for the questions on these polls is a fool).
I use one as a necessity for our Camera Club digital image competition entries, but don't see any point in having one for personal use when there are a myriad of other far cheaper and less involved options available
