Should the owner of Johnny Mac in Asbury Park be forced to remove decorations that adorn the façade of the bar and adjoining properties?

The decorations are a little busy for the eyes but, that's what is so cool about them. Even my grandsons, 10 & 12 yrs old love looking at them when we pass by. Its like being in a museum. There are so many run down boarded up buildings in Asbury JM is a delight. And this place sure brings revenue into Asbury. People come just to visit it and also end up spending money elsewhere. Especially when coming to the shore in the summer. It's NOT an eyesore it's a step back in time people want & come to see! Leave their decor alone you ol'e fuddy duddies!!!

I think you should be able to do anything you want to the property you own, if people don't like it they don't have to go there. I love the way it looks and why should anybody say no you can't have it there he paid for it to look that way nobody else. FIGHT JOHNNY MAC FIGHT!

If the decorations were disliked by so many then they wouldn't be so successful and expanding. It's not the decorations at Johnny Macs that will deter people from visiting Asbury Park. Let's be real about that.

I see nothing wrong with the decorations. I think it brings character to the building and it is part of the ambiance that attracts customers. If this man is willing to invest another $2mil to expand his business which would bring in more tourists and business to Asbury Park, what is the problem? I do not live or patronize Asbury Park, but reading about this particular pub makes me want to go there for the atmosphere alone.
Sounds to me like someone in the city has a personal dislike for this man and should step back from this issue. The problem with city officials is they cannot separate their own personal opinions from their job.
As for the owner of Johnny Mac go fight the fight! Your business looks great.
    I wish you the best!
