i agree with all the other comments ,I miss Mary Murphy and all the different judges . I don't like Paula or Jason they are so boring plus all the dancing is so boring it's all street and modern none of the dancing we all loved before I have watched since the very beginning and been to all the shows when they were on tour ! But I will not waste my money this year ! Bring back. The original format were everyone danced all styles ballroom, tap, jazz ,somba tango and hip hop etc ,

The show is suffering terribly - and I was a completely devoted fan. HATE this year's judges and feel the rotation of judges/choreographers before was fabulous. It educated us and exposed us to the best. Can't tell you how awful Paula and the other guy are! I mute all of their critiques.

Also, many I have spoken to miss the pairing consistently of two contestants together until one of them was eliminated. We bonded to the pairs, looked forward to their relationships and growth and became much more familiar with the contestants. Now it's all just a blur of impersonal yet exceptional professional dancers with no real investment or connection.

Please, please bring back the old format of continuing pairs - personal relationships and hardships developed and shared with us, hence we in turn were invested.

Not a fan. I never really liked Mary (her laugh had made me mute my TV on numerous occasions), but now I really miss her and the rotating panel of judges. The judges are so boring now.

As are the contestants. I don't feel like I really know any of them. And competing by dancing in groups? NO! Some of the routines were nice, but it took away the individuality of the contestants.

Best episode was the 10 Years of Dance, and it had way too much filler for Ryan's (cancelled) show. I loved seeing the old routines and getting to see them performed NOT by the current contestants.

I hate the new format. I have eagerly watched every show since the beginning and couldn't wait til this season started. This season is rhe worst ever. Beginning with the tryouts, it was ridiculously obvious they were looking for ,beauty and braun, not dancing ability. Which was proven when they cast Asaf. During the normal seasons they chose dancers based on ability, now it's based on what they 'think' the audience wants. Every single person I've talked to and chatted online with completely disagree with the new format, including getting rid of Mary Murphy. She IS sytycd. She judged accurately, excitedly and honestly. The new format has turned this show truly into one of the many screwed up so called 'reality' shows. I boil this comment down to, season 12 sucks, bring Mary back and go back to true DANCE and not how pretty they look. Thank you!

I have watched So You Think You Can Dance since the beginning. I've become very disappointed over the last two years. Truly do not like the new format - Stage vs Street. Much more interesting when all genres had to cross over and learn dances they were not familiar with. Miss seeing Mary Murphy. Not sure what the dynamics are to create these changes. I think of all the past dancers who have moved on - Chelsea, , Dimitri, Anna, Pascha, Lacey Schwimmer, Benjy Schwimmer, Travis, Twitch, Allison - they had to present beautiful & moving dances. I feel like the show is trying to increase the "street" presence and loses the great performances from tappers, latin dancers, ballet, even contemporary has been diminished.

I guess I'm not ready for the new changes, therefore will probably not continue to watch; unfortunate since I love all forms of dance and want to see a larger selection of them.
